It’s bloody boiling again round me. No rain during the night.

Im in Sheffield, which is bang in the middle of the country. Where is the rain?

Also in Yorkshire - no rain, it keeps getting pushed further back on my weather app. I've got the windows open and even though it's cooler outside there is just no breeze coming in! Fed up!

Back to hiding inside with curtains shut and too hot for housework. I wish it would go,

Okay, we've got rain! Bit of faith in the Met Office restored.

Had about 10 mins light drizzle, Farnborough area and that’s that. Can see on the radar and also talking to friends it’s chucking down in a lot of places very close. I expect we’ll get a bit more today but really need a decent amount to sink into the parched ground.

North here, no rain. Been waiting impatiently for the thunderstorms to start as per weather warnings. Given up now and hung washing out 🥵

Rain on the south coast but it’s unbearably muggy. The temp is cooler but feels so much worse than the weekend!

We are in Norfolk and haven't had rain for a couple of months. Yesterday we had a promise for today and tomorrow of rain. 85% chance apparently. Just checked and they've removed the rain as a possibility. Sunny all week.

I want to cry. The local ponds are dry, crops failing and my flowers are all dead. It's so dry.

We need rain so desperately.

My question exactly OP! I'm desperate for a big thunderstorm and downpour... it's so muggy here.

It's raining in Newbury and currently 21 degrees.

I'm also in Sheffield.
It's a lot cooler outside today than it was before and pretty overcast/cloudy.

Think we only saw a few minutes of rain yesterday in the end though and it's still very close weather. Muggy and sticky.

My bedroom is now saying 26.9c rather than 30.4c which is something.

I think today and tomorrow are meant to be cooler though dry now. Thursday is up again to 23c which is a nice temperature I think, though could do with it being less humid and sticky!

OP I'm asking same questions, in Nottinghamshire. Guess it's not reached the midlands yet. It's more cloudy today and slightly cooler but still muggy.

Now saying 70% chance off rain after 7pm. Fingers crossed

I’ve just checked mine. Last nights rain had moved to tonight and is minimal. No more rain all week, but lots of sun.

Where in Sheffield are you where it's 27c? It is that in full sun and no shade?

I'm on the SW side and it's not that warm. It's warm and still, and sticky. But there's no sun out and it's cloudy. Much cooler today than yesterday, and yesterday was much cooler than before.

Cumbria is overcast and cool today.

Where the hell are you @Beachsidesunset ? I’m jealous! South Cornwall coast here and it is so warm and humid i’ve just sweated buckets taking my son for a walk in his wheelchair!

We are now sitting outside and he’s in his paddling pool in his pants 😂

SW. Had torrential rain late yesterday afternoon, woke to steady rain which stopped about 10.30 this morning. Weak sunshine since.

We had a little yesterday afternoon and evening (Greater Manchester). Was forecast to rain all afternoon but it dry and really muggy. It is a lot cooler at 21 though so grateful for that! Just need my oven of a house to cool down now, still roasting upstairs and in the living room.
