There's a fucking mouse in my bathroom

Just that really, got up to go to the toilet, as I put the light on saw something dart across thought that's a mouse or a massive fuck off spider, both as bad as each other to be fair from my point of view. Then it shot back out from behind the toilet, completely shit myself whilst standing on the landing holding into the door handle. Have left it in there with the door shut for now.

Two questions, how's it got up here ( the fact it's got upstairs is really freaking me out, I know they have legs before anyone points that out) does this mean we've got a mouse family living here and how do I get it out.

Sorry OP.

If it's any consolation, he's 23 now and it doesn't seem to have traumatised him.

It's definitely worth catching them as we found the wires going into the fuse box very chewed. Very dangerous to just cohabit. Released them by a barn a mile away with a handful of seed. No problems since. Maybe they didn't make it, but we put the whole family there so, hope they did. They're a mammal with a heart, a brain, highly developed senses and cute as buttons. The below is when we realised we had one. (I had a domesticated one as a pet as a kid. He used to travel in my pocket and hang out on my lap on the sofa)
Would be more likely to glue trap the arsehole poachers we get in the wood by our house.

We found a fried mouse in our Fuse box poor wee thing. Also when we replaced the kitchen found the lagged pipes for water had been eaten. The first month we moved in opened the cutlery drawer and a little mouse was looking up at me

Everyone always says it's never just one, but both times I've had a mouse in my house it has always been just the one.

Put traps down in the bathroom where you've seen it, don't use poison as if it dies where you can't get to it it will create a smell, and buy wire wool. Scour the house from top to bottom and block up any little holes you can find with the wire wool. If you find any droppings, put traps down in those areas too.

I'm not much liking some of these stories Confused

This mornings update is no overnight activity, will keep traps out for a while and see how it goes.
