I don’t know why I’m so shocked given that he’s had a target in his back since the 90s, but I really am. I hope his injuries are minor. I finally got around to reading Midnight’s Children last year and the man is a genius, it’s the most perfectly crafted novel I’ve read.

Shocking, and yes he has, since 1989 when he wrote The Satanic Verses.

I read he was able eventually to walk off the stage after being given emergency first aid on the stage where the attack happened. I really hope this is true.
