I've lost 2.5 stone. Can't work out if it looks like I have! Pic attached

I've worked really hard to lose this weight and I still have a stone + to go, at least

So I decided to do a comparison photo today, using a pic from April and a pic from yesterday. I was expecting to see some incredible difference but err I don't?

Please tell me the small difference I can see makes it worth while carrying on

I've tried to match the perspective of the first pic but it's tricky

I can see you've absolutely lost weight. Your waist is much more nipped in the 2nd photo. Well done on the weight loss, its so hard, isn't it??

AluckyEllie · 11/08/2022 19:30

You look great! Hips are narrower and now you have a clearly defined waist. I bet arms and face are more defined now too. Keep going!

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 11/08/2022 19:30

You might not see a difference treacle but I do.

congratulations 🥳

Loungingstevens · 11/08/2022 19:30

Hmmm. Did you loose your eyesight with the weight loss?!
that’s a bit of a harsh joke but you get my point!

YES! That is a significant difference. You look fantastic now. Very trim!
How much more is there to loose? You look great as is.

MakeadealwithGod · 11/08/2022 19:30

I do. It looks like two different people!

lobsterkiller · 11/08/2022 19:31

You look brilliant. Definitely, your middle has shrunk loads!

Loungingstevens · 11/08/2022 19:31

Autocorrected lose to loose twice. Yuck.
sorry about that.

ChickenChop · 11/08/2022 19:32

I promise you I am not fishing here. I hate those threads

I genuinely cannot see 2.5 stone. I thought it would be more .. dramatic?

OP posts:
ChickenChop · 11/08/2022 19:33

@Whatkindoflifeisthis yes it's really hard! I've been going for 4.5 months now so there's been no dramatic drops here

WinterMusings · 11/08/2022 19:33

You look great!

you don't look like you had 3.5st to lose in the first photo though.

try doing your 'now' photo with skinny jeans or leggings. Your trousers look great, but they're not defining your legs like in the first photo!!

well done 💐

GetOffTheRoof · 11/08/2022 19:33

Put the same clothes on as in photo 1. Do they fit in the same way? That's how you check more effectively.

MsInsomniac · 11/08/2022 19:35

Put the same clothes on as in pic 1 and retake - you’ll def see a difference! Well done

junebirthdaygirl · 11/08/2022 19:36

Put back on the jeans you are wearing in the first picture and surely you will notice a smaller waist/ thighs..it is noticeable to us but by wearing the same clothes you will definitely see it.

ChickenChop · 11/08/2022 19:36

@WinterMusings thanks! I was 4 stone overweight initially , give or take

Good idea re the same clothes. I'll do that when it's less hot. They'll still fit fine I'm sure - I favour clothes with stretch Grin

I've lost 2 stone recently and struggle to see it, however I took a photo from the side in leggings and sport bra and could really see the difference. Maybe try another angle?

ImEasyLikeSundayMorning · 11/08/2022 19:39

Both pictures look amazing to be honest.

But if you want a real comparison picture it needs to be the same clothes, same stance taken at the same angle.

Because all three things are different in both photos, you can't appreciate the difference.

2.5 stone!! Bloody well done you!!!

ChickenChop · 11/08/2022 19:41

This is 13 stone - 12 stone - 11 stone - give or take a few lbs!

ChickenChop · 11/08/2022 19:43

@ImEasyLikeSundayMorning very true. I don't like taking photos of myself really so didn't think to do proper ones to use as a comparison

In the same clothes would work a lot better though

OP posts:
fallfallfall · 11/08/2022 19:44

@ChickenChop the problem is the cut and style of the last photo. the cropped pants and the looser fit as well as the top really hide your shape.
yes it's noticeable in the first and second photo where you are wearing jeans.

AnotherEmma · 11/08/2022 19:44

It might just be the angle of the last photo but the outfit doesn't look hugely flattering. I think that might be why the weight loss isn't obvious, although we can still see it.

I'm sure it'd be obvious just in underwear, a swimsuit, or the same style clothes in the right (smaller) size.

ChickenChop · 11/08/2022 19:46

@fallfallfall good point. The top is a bit 'oversized' and the trousers aren't close fitting like the jeans

I'm lolling at my inability to take proper comparison pics

OP posts:
Tonkerbea · 11/08/2022 19:47

Are you tall OP, your figure looked nice at 13 stone! Congratulations on the loss

ChickenChop · 11/08/2022 19:48

@Tonkerbea I'm short! 5 ft 3 so every lb does show unfortunately

OP posts:
Onlyrainbows · 11/08/2022 19:51

OK as someone who struggles to see the difference in my own photos I can definitely see where you're coming from. Especially because form the the very first photo of your journey you don't look big. You definitely can see a difference though! I think somebody has already asked if you're tall, what's your height? How many dress sizes have you dropped? I'm the complete opposite basically not a lot of weight lost, but dropped a bit more than one size.

ChickenChop · 11/08/2022 19:54

@Onlyrainbows I'm short at 5 ft 3

Not sure really dress sizes! Probably 2 sizes I think. Im comfortably wearing a size 12. The blazer in the first pic is a 16 and it's big on me now

I tend to buy a lot of stuff from All Saints, Levi's and Hush. Mainly because it comes up big Grin
