Any big boobed wild swimmers out there?

What on earth do you do when you come out and are getting changed? I got one of those big change coats in aldi which will be great. But i cant get my usual massive underwired bra on as its too much of a fankle.
I was thinking of getting like a bandeau bra i could pull up from the bottom of myself but i really can't imagine a bra like that that would hold up my 36j boobs. And going braless is just awful.

has anyone got any advice?

Here! And that's a very good question. Getting an underwire bra on under one of those change towels is like doing an additional sport all on its own. They should add it to triathlons 😂
It depends where I'm swimming. My most regular spot is only ten minutes away from where I park so I just go braless (covered in a big cardigan so it's not that obvious), but if it's further or I'm going somewhere after, I fight with my bra under a towel.
I'd love to hear what other women do and if there's a simple trick that I'm missing.

I arrive wearing my swimsuit underneath some loose clothes, get my wetsuit on there, go in and have a swim. When I get out, I chuck same loose clothing back on, I don't put underwear on underneath. I just don't worry about it to be honest. Keep the dry robe on.

Talc.

StarlightLady · 07/08/2022 12:59

I just stand by a tree and turn my back. Nobody is going to die if they get a quick side glimpse of my boobs.

WeeLors · 07/08/2022 14:02

You could always get something like a Molke bra. Not underwired but really supportive and you can step into them and pull up over your shoulders. Preferable to retraining as a contortionist trying to get on a standard bra.

latetothefisting · 07/08/2022 14:29

bralette type thing, although that's still a faff. I use one of the all in one change robes rather than a coat, which gives a little bit more room to maneuver because you can put your arms inside and do up your bra at the back if you need to.

although most of the time I do just go braless tbh, I don't really find it an issue for the short walk back home/to the car. a tight vest or crop top that's e.g. a size too small is probably the easiest thing with a bit of support to just pull on if you need something.

MomwasCasual · 07/08/2022 14:33

I go with my cossie on under my clothes, and afterwards I just go braless for the journey home.

After an outdoor swim the only place I'm heading is home, so I don't need to look particularly presentable (or need support!)

FunnysInLaJardin · 07/08/2022 14:36

I do a fair amount of sea swimming and just dry off then drive home in my towel or dry robe depending on how cold it is. I dont get dressed again until I get home.

AussieButterfly · 07/08/2022 14:40

I take a molke with me and step into it under my dry robe.

FayeGovan · 07/08/2022 15:06

Molke is a good shout actually

I like the bralette above too

I mostly don't bother, but if I am going to the shops on the way home and need something, the M&S secret support vests are great for enough containment. Step in and pull up is the easiest way

FayeGovan · 07/08/2022 17:24

I'll have a look in m&s soon

Really fancy a molke now too

LividLaVidaLoca · 07/08/2022 17:26

I’ve worn nothing but Molke for three years but I would NOT be putting it on even slightly damp.

Hottubby · 07/08/2022 17:29

I take off my costume and drive home naked under my dry robe. No way I’d be wrestling with an underworld bra!

ThickLizzy · 07/08/2022 17:53

I don’t put my bra on afterwards, or my knickers! If I’m not going straight home I just let people see my boobs as I change!

SmallSoupcon · 07/08/2022 18:00

I've now got my routine down - I don a ginormous changing towel, take off my cossie, stick on some pants and go home (sat on a pad just in case).

However, if you really feel you need sonething more, how about a front fastening one?

SweetSakura · 07/08/2022 18:06

I would just go home braless and then get changed at home? (Don't wild swim but do a lot of watersports )

Am 36dd it's only time I would go braless!

ShinyHatStand · 07/08/2022 18:06

I tend to swim in a trisuit as I like not worrying about sunburn. (And hate wetsuits.) So I wear a sports bra on underneath. I just keep the sports bra on under dry clothes for the trip home. It's not very absorbent so isn't an issue. On the rare times I swim in a swimsuit without my bra I just go braless under a baggy hoodie.

I do this.

I'm not a winter swimmer though.

FallOutPloy · 07/08/2022 18:35

In the winter I put on a big baggy hoodie and then just put my bra on underneath that.

At the moment I'm loving a huge maxi skirt. I pull it up to my armpits to do my bra (probably an especially eagle eyed observer may catch a glimpse of boob) then pull it down to my waist to do my knickers - it's like a multipurpose changing tent!

Billybagpuss · 07/08/2022 18:59

I tend to drape a dry robe around me and point my boobs into the boot of my car while I put my bra on.

as it gets colder hat and dryrobe first then socks (trust me on this one) then threnody normal dressing.

SlackieBeaver · 07/08/2022 19:49

Front fastening bra?

WarnerSisters · 07/08/2022 19:51

Sports bra too, which I swim in. Doesn’t absorb loads of water, fine once a few t-shirts/jumpers are on top afterwards. (I’m very rarely going straight to a formal interview from my wild swims.)
