Red Thai Curry. And I can confidently state that from my vast experience of CB meals (2...the red and the green Thai curry).

It's flipping amazing.

But state your case if you have a contender.

The red curry. Though I also as a takeaway alternative like the 2 curry in a bag from sainsburys. It’s good.

It's the Chicken Tikka Masala for me too. I actually dread the possibility they'll interfere with the recipe one day, as it's one of my favourite meals of all time. I'm a fairly competent cook with a few tried and tested curry recipes but I so look forward to CB curry night (which is becoming a regular habit). The only issue is if I order though Ocado they only seem to be able to deliver it upside down, with the cellophane perforated and most the contents slopped out of the paper baking tray.

I find the lasagne and the meatballs a bit rich and sickly for some reason. The other curries pretty tasty too, but not quite good enough for me to spunk up nearly £9.

Fish pie yum

Fish pie. Lush. Need 2 of them for 3 of us though plus veg. I could eat one on my own!

Thai green curry lovely and jalfrezi. Much nicer than most of our local takeaways and cheaper, even though the prices have gone up. Tesco have Clubcard deals.

Ticksallboxes · 05/08/2022 21:41

I love the CB beef stroganoff!

I'm put off all his chicken based meals though as they're not free-range.

VioletInsolence · 05/08/2022 21:41

The Cook! Thai red curry is better…I think the CB one has onions in it.

The fish pie is a firm favourite in our house. They're pricey compared to other ready meals, but much better than standard supermarket fare.

Yep yep. The fish pie is lush

Egghead68 · 05/08/2022 21:49

Sweet potato and bean chilli

Tougherpolicies · 05/08/2022 21:52

Wish the chicken was free range, they're all very good hence the price

If I can't be bothered to cook I sometimes treat myself to the macaroni cheese, it's got pancetta in it and it's topped with crispy breadcrumbs. It's nice and thick and not all gloopy.

Lidl do one like that, for about half the price.
It is a bit light on the pancetta tbf, but still very good.

Do it. Fish pie for two for one. It's the way ahead.

OldPodge · 05/08/2022 21:54

Another vote for the paneer curry here

Bluevelvetsofa · 05/08/2022 22:34

Aldi lasagne is as good or better than CB’s

Turner’s Pies are the best pies and you can get them online.

Whitney168 · 05/08/2022 22:39

We’ve recently discovered the salmon en croute - fantastic. Cherry Bakewell a big favourite here too.

Sunshineona · 05/08/2022 22:48

The spicy bean thing with chilli rice and tortilla crisps with cheese on top!

Bit 😱 about paying that price for bean chilli but wow it tastes great.

Clawdy · 05/08/2022 22:49

We had the delicious Tikka Masala tonight . I love their ready meals, but can't get them at our local Tesco any more, only Sainsburys. And quite a limited choice there. Never the desserts, just about eight of the mains. Never see the lovely steak pies any more, or the Meatballs Al Forno. Do Waitrose have all of them?

UnnecessaryFennel · 05/08/2022 22:50

The macaroni cheese, and the fish pie.

And, ummm, all the puddings. All of them. But mainly the cherry bakewell. God, so good.

saveforthat · 05/08/2022 22:56

I've been tempted to try these but they are so small. Do they fill you up? Am I just greedy?

Neverplayleapfrogwithaunicorn · 05/08/2022 22:57

Fish pie all day long!!

PinkTonic · 05/08/2022 22:58

We like the moussaka and the fish pie and the satay curry that you pan fry. The cherry bakewell pudding is delicious and so is the lemon one but Ocado don’t sell it I can only get it in Waitrose.

Sswhinesthebest · 05/08/2022 23:00

Macaroni cheese definitely

VaVaVoombangabang · 06/08/2022 07:10

Can add as well I once bought the Beef Bourg, and the container had only 2 pieces of meat, for 2 people, not large pieces either.

Took pics etc of said meal and recipt and reported it to CB (well not himself of course!) customer service was very good with a quick reply and a replacement voucher.

Odd I am not that struck on the Thai meals that much, maybe because I prefer my own.

lot123 · 06/08/2022 07:17

I think some of the rice dishes can be a bit dry. The pilau rice particularly.

Clymene · 06/08/2022 07:17

I don't like macaroni cheese but I like CB macaroni cheese. And the fish pie is lush as is the moussaka.

Might try the Thai stuff now. And have never had a pudding!

GingGangMaGoolie · 06/08/2022 07:37

I love them but discovered that Aldi Macaroni cheese & fish pie are just as nice and much, much cheaper
