What would you take home from your holiday if you could?

We've been lucky enough to have a wonderful holiday and we're leaving tomorrow :(

It's just struck me that I will miss the bidet

What impossible things would you love to keep from your summer hols?

Get one put in I would hate to be without my bidet

I always miss the fresh fruit and veg, especially tomatoes.

The swimming pool - it’s just not the same at home

The house/grounds.

The pottery. Spain - I love it. I have brought lots back, sone have broken in transit. Now of course you can get stuff here but back then you couldn't and it's much cheaper there.
The clean dry air, the views, the lack of feeling I should be doing the laundry/paperwork/vacuuming...

My most recent holiday was in France. I'd like to be able to take home their style and people on these shores have it.

A massive jar of Marmite from the UK. I can only bring back the mini pots in my hand luggage.
(Me: But it’s not a liquid!
Airport security: Well it’s certainly not a solid!)

All the fruit and veg from the market in Croatia but especially the white bell peppers.

I miss the smell of sun, sea, thyme, herb, and lemon scented hill sides of Greece

If I could bottle it I would

The blissfully empty, quiet and immaculately clean roads and all the incredible beautifully kept municipal floral displays in the towns and villages (Normandy).

Warm evenings and eating dinner outside

Views. I love hill/sea views but live in a city.

The minimalism. The just having enough for a few days and not having a house bursting at the seams with school uniforms and sports kits and winter clothes and Christmas stuff and cooking stuff and clothing in the next sizes up and all the rest of it.

its 60% stuff we need and 40% stuff we’ve just accumulated and I couldn’t actually live forever with just the contents of our suitcases.

but I love the feel of that crisp clean clear empty but welcoming room and I’d bring that home if I could.
