Do you ever write a reply on a thread and delete it before posting?

I feel like I am constantly typing out replies and then deleting them. Usually it's because I'm being unnecessarily bitchy or it's something that isn't worth an argument. I can't be the only one who does this right?

I've got a chronic illness which makes me a grumpy bitch sometimes and I have a dark sense of humour. Sometimes I'll write a post, read it back and quickly delete it so I don't get banned from here 😂

I usually start saying something relevant and then go off on a tangent about my ex and all the shitty things he said and did, then realise I’ve made it all about me again and delete!

I’m attempting to go with the age old “if you’ve got nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all”.

So I try to only post things that are positive or useful/constructive. Or hilarious.

Usually when I'm writing a snippy comment, and i think - "do I really want to pollute my headspace with this" and delete.

I quite often delete one because altgough I know I'm trying to be constructive and it comes from a good place, there's too much potential for people to misunderstand and attack.

This is me exactly! It's like by the time I've got to the end of my post even I've got bored, so I think no-one else is likely to be interested...

Yes - sometime because I think I'm not adding anything to the conversation, sometimes because it's about me and not really relevant, sometimes because it just sounds argumentative, etc, etc. That said, it can be good to get things off your chest and not post or send them.
