What age did you all get Married and have kids etc?

I'm a 32 year old man and me and my partner (32) are feeling a bit behind in life, in that we haven't had the chance to get even engaged yet and/or have children yet.

So I was wondering, what age did you get to have these thing's in life?

Met at 40. Never married. Baby at 42.

Met at 30, bought a house at 36 married at 38, baby at 39. Hoping to have another around 42. Careers are sorted and looking to upgrade to our ‘forever house’ in a couple of years - just can’t decide where to live!

I'm a similar age to you and we've just got to the year where the weddings and babies are coming thick and fast.

Met at 25, bought a house at 29, got engaged at 29, had a baby at 30

Met at 19/26
Married at 21/28
DC born 41/48
Separated 61/68
Divorced 64/71 in France took a long time with courts closed due to covid.

Met at 24, married at 32, first baby at 32 (honeymoon baby ), second baby at 36.

First dc at 29. Second at 33. Married DC's dad at 36.

Met dh when I was 25 and he was 28

Met at 12
Going out at 19
1st dc at 27
Married at 44
54 now.

Got married this year after 10 years together - me aged 30, him age 35. No kids yet - might start TTC next year

Dont compare your life to other peoples, everyone’s lives follow a different path and pattern. Enjoy yours.

Honestly really hate the whole schedule thing and how all my friends 'have' to have babies at 30/31..

Meet at 22, married at 32, first child st 33, 2nd at 37, 3rd at 43, divorced at 48

Met at 19, engaged at 24, married at 24, trying for a kid now (28) - but we are amongst the first ones from our friends for all of these

What's stopping you getting engaged, married or trying for a baby?

Doesn't matter what other people do. If everyone jumped off a cliff when they hit 33, would you and your partner follow? No! Do what you want when you want.

P.s. I haven't managed to have a baby yet, but have been asked plenty of times when it's happening, tick tock etc. Ignore other people's timelines.

I feel really ahead of a lot of my colleagues however I am envious of their lifestyle... Everyone goes at their own speed in life.

Now got almost grown kids and married 28 years.

DH cancer diagnosis: 33
Widowed: 37.

Pretty efficient. Good job really, or I wouldn’t have the kids.

Got together when I was 17.
Bought our first house I was 22.
Got engaged I was 27.

First baby I was 31.

We had a lot of good times and travelled to many places before we had kids.

Met when I was 18, him 24. Engaged at 20 him 26. Married at 22 him 28. Baby at 28 him 34! Been married 16 years on the 23rd of December!

Met at 19, (me), married at 25, never engaged as such, dh thought it horrendously uncool.
First baby 28, second at 31.
I am ancient though so it was quite old for all those things then.

We packed it in for a while there. I’d have preferred to have met DH earlier as I was worried I’d never meet someone to have children with, but looking back it’s all fine.

Met when l was 22 and he was 29. Married at 24 and 31. Still married 33 years later. Baby 1 when I was 26, baby 2 when l was 28 and baby 3 when I was 31. This was a very average timeline in the eighties and nineties.
