What age did you all get Married and have kids etc?

I'm a 32 year old man and me and my partner (32) are feeling a bit behind in life, in that we haven't had the chance to get even engaged yet and/or have children yet.

So I was wondering, what age did you get to have these thing's in life?

Meet him at 22, got engaged at 31 married at 32, first kids at 33 divorced at 48 as he did not want a family life anymore and he was bored with me.

Met at 19z Married 20. Baby at 21 (5 now).

Married at 30. First child at 32, second at 36. Would have another if we had the money/space/sanity!

You're not behind! If you want children then maybe don't wait for years and years in case of potential fertility issues, but there's no rush!

Make sure you go on any holidays you want to go on before DC. That's my one big regret about our timescale. We were saving for a house, then a baby and a wedding so only made it abroad twice (and one of those holidays was with parents!)

Multiple miscarriages between 35-38

One of the last of our friends to get married and also to have a baby. Regret leaving baby so late (because I do wonder if that accounts for all my miscarriages) but DH wasn't ready. I gave him an ultimatum in the end. It's hard for resentment towards him not to build up.

Neither/none. It’s not compulsory, you’re not ‘behind’ anything.

We met at 25, were engaged at 28 I think, and had our first aged 30. Still not married and unsure if we'll afford it now we have kids 😂

It’s not really relevant what other people do as you have to do what is right for you and you’re as young as you’ll ever be, but since you asked - I’m 32 (DH is 35) married at 22, kids at 25, 27 and 32.

Met at 37, married 38, DC1 born 38, DC2 conceived 41.

Met at 19, hé was 26
Married at 21 + 28
1 child at 41 and 48

Separated when dd was 20, just after 40th anniversary.

Met 21, married 23. First kid 29, last kid 39.
All of my kids are now older than I was when I married.

Got with DP at 23, fell pregnant, lost baby, separated.

Got with exDH at 24, moved in together at 24, baby at 25 (unplanned), married at 27, separated at 28.

Got back with DP at 30, moved in together at 32, baby (planned) due at 35 (I'm 34 now) and will look to get married around 40.

Most of my friends fall into the meeting DHs around late 20s/early 30s and are just getting married/having babies now in their mid 30s but plenty are just getting near that point in their 40s. You have missed nothing! I stupidly got married at 27 largely because I thought I was 'supposed to' 😒

We have now been married almost 14 years, got through some rough times but as happy as ever.

We had our first baby at 26. Second at 27.
Married at 29.
We're 32 & 33 now.

DH is six years older than me so was 37 when we got married and 41 when DD was born.

Try not to get hung up on numbers. Things will happen when they are meant to. The most important thing is your relationship and the life you are building together. Everything will fall into place.
