My lovely ds2 was a Baton carrier three weeks ago which was very emotional!
I recorded him carrying it and all you could hear other than him yelling hello was me sobbing and sniffling!!

My ds1 and dd do a sport and one of our (small) clubs older players is representing England next week.
Dd and I are fortunate to have tickets so will be cheering him on, ds1 would have come to but is working.

We splashed out on good seats so will hopefully have a good view.

Dh and I are watching the opening ceremony to see if we can spot him. It's exciting having a home player, someone I've watched grow from a primary school child a few years older than ds1 through to a fully fledged GB/England athlete.
The excitement amongst the current club members following in his footsteps is huge. Dd is super excited.

I'm watching it with my mum who is terminally ill and confused. She said 'I don't really know what's going on but I'm enjoying it'. Totally bonkers but loved it!
