how likely is my sister to catch her flight tonight from Heathrow?

very identifying so I've name
changed. My sister and family broke down on the
motorway on the way to Heathrow today (smoke in car) and she's due to catch a 10pm flight tonight to
Mauritius. She's just arriving now at terminal 4. She's checked them all in yesterday online, but obviously has to
clear baggage drop and security.
Regular Heathrow travellers, how likely is she to make this flight?

The walk to the gate can be a nightmare

She might be ok though with seconds to spare

Can she get priority through security? I guess it’s not impossible but she’ll need to get them pushed through, the gate will close well before 10pm…

She should ask the security queue staff to let them queue jump. People were doing that last time I was at the airport. Then rush to the gate. Fingers crossed! Let us know if you hear from her.

Yes or explain to those in front of them they need to rush through

Tell them to have everything out so they can rush through security
All liquids in small bags so their bags are not taken to one side to be searched this adds ages on to their wait
