Public service announcement - Do Not put Veet on your flaps

Repeat. Do Not put Veet on your flaps.

Yeah you know that, and I know that. Except I didn't listen to myself. And when the inevitable burning started I decided to try to front it out for the 3 minutes. When I eventually rinsed, my flaps on fire 🔥 and the hair still there, I decided to shave instead. Biiiiiig mistake 😭

Currently looking for a bowl of ice big enough to sit my fat arse into. Learn from my mistakes people. Even when you think you know what not to do.

I was going to attempt this for my holiday next week. Glad I didn't!! Hope your vagina feels better soon 😂😂

PunishmentRoundupWithJoon · 24/07/2022 13:29

Owwwwwwww.😫

dudsville · 24/07/2022 13:31

At my age I've long since learned a lot of these important lessons along the way. Good luck to you in your recovery!

ITriedToStopSwearingButICunt · 24/07/2022 13:32

Ouch!
I did this once, too. The damaged flappage oozed as it was healing and kept sticking to my knickers. Nightmare.

RishiRich · 24/07/2022 13:37

Yes, I did this before a week at Center Parcs. I rinsed it off as soon as it started to mildly sting though and all was well.

Good luck! A bag of frozen peas will work.

NellNorth · 24/07/2022 13:37

I did this once, years ago. I was preparing to go to a friend’s wedding, and decided to simply tidy up my pubes into a landing strip arrangement. While the veet was working, I painted my toenails. Big mistake. I had to go commando to the wedding, and everyone was asking me why I was walking like a cowboy 😳. The drunker I became, the more I replied “Burnt flaps!”

Duchess379 · 24/07/2022 13:37

You poor thing 😬

limitededitionbarbie · 24/07/2022 13:37

I must have cast iron flaps as I've used it on my flaps before and no issue.

doubleshotcappuccino · 24/07/2022 13:38

Oh no poor you ! Will sudocrem help ? Burning fanjos are no fun

Allmarbleslost · 24/07/2022 13:38

oh op never the veet. Burns like fuck and doesn't even remove the hair while it's at it.

BigMamaFratelli · 24/07/2022 13:39

My mate immacs her face before going on holiday😱

I hope your flaps are ok x

ThomasinaGallico · 24/07/2022 13:45

Reminder is much appreciated. These products are often marketed as ‘suitable for sensitive skin’. There’s no such thing as a hair removal cream for sensitive skin. It’s the same caustic chemical in all of them and it’s bloody ‘orrible stuff.

Ever seen the Nair that claims to be suitable for the face? It isn’t. I tried it, washed it the hell off the minute I felt it tingle, and it still left me with dry skin.

savemeagin · 24/07/2022 13:45

I was going to try veeting my bag for the first time today (normally shave) but I'm having second thoughts now.
Hope your flaps cool down soon. 🌮❄️

I know people who do this too....... weird as fuck.

YorkieTheRabbit · 24/07/2022 13:48

If do do use frozen peas, make sure you leave Tesco first.
hope they are better soon 💐

Nat6999 · 24/07/2022 13:53

Boots cream for bikini line sensitive skin is the only one that doesn't leave burns, better still stick to shaving

Properly made me snigger, that. Thanks for the much-needed laugh.

ThaliaLuxurySpa38 You’re welcome 😊

This has reminded me of an original review of veet on Amazon. It made me cry, cringe and laugh......

Clownsingovernment · 24/07/2022 15:27

@BlueIvy11 someone will be along shortly to correct you that it’s ‘your Vulva’ not vagina 😂

@Rockbird I’m in my fifties, and still burn myself every holiday prep 😂

thereisonlyoneofme · 24/07/2022 15:30

NellNorth Im intrigued as to why if you were going to a friends wedding you decided to tidy up! I only do my hair and makeup, am I missing something

I am so pleased you put this link. I have read it several times before and end up laughing out loud every time.

Same! Always use it 🙂

Rockbird · 24/07/2022 15:50

Application of Vagisil (half a tube!) has calmed the fires considerably but yes, I was walking like I'd lost my horse.

All things considered, I've decided to grow it out HmmGrin

Woo woo hair removal cream is amazing and doesn't burn at all. You can pop it on leave it for three minutes while you shower and then rinse it off. Hope your flaps recover soon!
