Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa, listening to the birds & odd bits of noise from neighbours who are up. The washer's finished so I'll pop the washing out in a mo.

We're off to town for something for the girls' dads birthday today -not sure what yet but hopefully inspiration will strike! We'll likely end up at the fruit and veg stall too for more fruits 😋

I need to nip to Boyes, and the haberdashery stall on the market, if they don't have what I want. 🤞they do! This weekend's quick make is turning an old shirt into a graduation gown. So far the collar and pocket are off, and it's washed.

When we get in; dd2 has plans to Minecraft with the online friend she made in the first lockdown. I've no idea what dd1 plans to do - probably not much since it's the first day of the summer hols (I have 3 days left 😢). I plan to straighten the bottom hem of the shirt and shorten the sleeves but that might happen tomorrow 🤷‍♀️ I want to get my crochet out too - it's been a bit neglected this half term.

No idea what's for tea, I'm using the contents of the freezer up & a bit short of inspiration now. I'll have a glass of wine with whatever it is though.

I am having a cuppa in the garden right now, after putting a load of washing on.

When I go back in I am going to strip the wallpaper from the downstairs loo and utility room and prep for painting.

This afternoon I'm meeting a friend to watch her little girl in her first dance show then going out for tea with them.

When I get home I'm hoping to get thr first coat of paint done in the downstairs loo.

We'll see how it goes!

Second last weekend in our teeny rental flat after completing on our first house this week. I would dearly love to spend the day in IKEA, or even better, a nearby secondhand furniture shop that a friend recommended, but imagine that will be awful with DD (21 months) so probably the round of our usual haunts (the lovely ladies who make a fuss of DD in Costa, playgrounds, cafe lunch) before we leave this neighborhood, and lots of intensive furniture research online during naptime/this evening

Just having a coffee before I go and wake dd2 for her football match.
Smallest boy has a match to then a friend coming over to play. Next boy up also has a friend coming over but dh is charge of all that as I will be an hour away watching dds match.
Other dd is in bed as she didn't get in til 2 so she not see her til half an hour before she had to go to work!
Eldest two are coming over tomorrow so need to nip and get food for a roast.
Dog needs walking and uniforms need sorting for Monday.
We are going out for a curry later with friends.

Up to bugger all and loving it 😆 Have a good one everybody.

Made banana pancakes for breakfast, then taking DD to her gymnastics and we’ll nip to town to buy a birthday present for her friend. I’m playing tennis this afternoon then I’ll rustle something up for tea when I get home.

Nanna has arrived super early to apply her demon eye to the hanging of SHELVES. I don't know when I was last so excited.

She has been pulled straight out into the garden to rescue tractors from the mud 😔

Going on a mackerel finishing trip 😂😂😂hired a boat. Something my son wants to do on his holiday but I’m not so in love but I’ve got to do it 🤪 I think I might never eat fish again

Its pouring with rain. Great! Grass needs it.

Morning! I’m lolling on the sofa after a long day and big night out yesterday. Shopping’s arriving soon, and then DD’s carers will come
to give us a few hours off.
I’m going to meet my family for lunch, including cousins visiting from France, who I haven’t seen since pre-Covid. It’ll be so lovely to see them!
Hopefully a quiet evening, with Stranger Things and all the snacks.

Been up since 6. Had a coffee and cleared all the crap off the table in my eyeline that's bothered me all week! ( looking at you dd and dh!)
Nobody else up so peace and quiet before I commence the cleaning!

Lovely thread. I'm drinking coffee and deciding whether or not I have time to walk the dog before work. Later I will unpack one box from house move then its freezer surprise for dinner, Love Island funny bits and start the new series of Virgin River. Happy Saturday

Ive been in a crappy mood all week but I’ve woken up feeling like I’ve slept, so feel better!

Today I’m cutting all the hedges which is a ball ache but it’s looking untidy, the garden looks like it’s been napalmed so I’m going to have a good clear up.

bit of housework, bit of lunch then off to mums for a glass of wine and a catch up.

Having my third cup of green tea of the day while the kids (2&1) play, really should be getting ready as my mums on her way to take us car shopping 😂 not my idea of a fun morning, but needs must! DH is unfortunately at work, so going to have to act like I know what the hell im talking about! 😂
No ideas for dinner but did Tesco shop yesterday so have plenty in! Might see if DH will take the kids to the park when he gets home so me and bump can have a little rest!

DC are miraculously still asleep so I have snuck down and made DH and I coffee/tea, took Ddog for a walk and his breakfast and then came back to bed with said tea!

I'm just having my cup of tea while DH lies on the bed with Otex in his ear giggling because it tickles 🙄
DS2 age 5 has chicken pox and is running around the house naked. DS2 age 8 is on his iPad.
Waiting for my Ocado delivery then need to pop out for some extra bits I can get cheaper elsewhere like kids snacks now it's the holidays.
This afternoon I've got to reorganise the freezers as I've no idea what we have in them and also go through DS2's clothes to donate any he's grown out of.
Might do a bit of overtime later on the laptop.
We are kind of housebound because of the pox but DS1 will probably go and find his friends later on.

Finishing packing, then we’re off for a week in Norfolk.
MIL is popping round with DH’s birthday present before we go.

I bought a tent yesterday, so I may go camping if I can find a pitch!

Have not long got up from having coffee in bed, now downstairs eating breakfast.

I'm going to take ds2 to football training and let dh do some housework.

Then off to get some nice bread for lunch.

After lunch got to do the food shop and will probably go for a nice walk and to the park with the dc.

After that home for homemade pizzas and maybe watch a film.

DS slept over at DGPs last night and they are taking him out for the day today so I'm child free which is rare.

I got up early to do a HIIT workout. Now eating breakfast with a coffee.

Will have a catch up with a friend over face time shortly.

I have a list of chores as long as my arm to get through after this....

I’ve had a lovely lazy morning sitting in the sun with the cat and a cup of tea. Caught up on news and Googled facts about the Anna Delvey story as I’m watching the Netflix docudrama in the evenings - fascinating!

DD (11) still asleep so I’m just about to do a bit of work and once she’s up and ready I’ll drag her out for a walk and pop into town to get some new glasses and a birthday gift for a friend. She’s going to an orchestra club this afternoon so I will do some work whilst she’s there. I wouldn’t normally work at the weekend but we’ve been on holiday this week and I need to catch up on. Few things.

Dinner will be spag bol.

Got up early planning to run, but 3 hours later and I havent yet made it off the sofa.

Taking the kids shoe shopping later, so my poor credit card will take a hit.

I'm going to bring this down but my need isn't public yet and I need to share.

Me and the 3 DDs are going to visit DH in the hospice he was admitted to yesterday 😥

Working. Yay.

I have a very exciting day, our replacement fridge freezer arrives this afternoon. Our old one died in the heatwave 😩.
I've booked a sainsbury's delivery later to fill it up.

I'm baking some bread and making pea and bacon soup for dinner, my favourite.

Other than that, DH is sleeping after working last night so it'll be a chill out day at home.
