I'm not victim blaming, but, why didn't they run away ? One of the girls sensed enough danger that she had the presence of mind to record audio and visual footage of the suspect Just get away from that creepy guy.

Did that same sense of fear/danger not make them want to run away to safety, run away back home ?

Was it catfishing i.e. lured in on false pretences ?

There's a member of a band that was playing on board ship that night that knows more than he's letting on. To the point that when he realised he had said too much i.e. said sorry to her brother that she had disappeared, at that time, her brother didn't know she was missing. The band member later paid a lawyer to retract what he said.

Was Amy's unconscious body concealed in one of the band's amplifiers ?

Brian Schaeffer walked into a bar in Ohio in March 2006 and never came out again. He hasn't been seen since. He was a medical student, enjoying life and planning to propose to his girlfriend in a few days time. Did he manage to access the construction site adjacent to the bar and disappear ? I suspect he wanted a complete change of lifestyle, i.e. play in a band, not study medicine.

On a lighter note, I fell down an internet rabbit hole after 'something' broke into our locked food waste caddy and ate the contents just the other day. I started a thread to find out what that 'something' might be, and the suggestions from posters' experiences were badgers, foxes, squirrels, magpies, seagulls and jackdaws. Googling 'badgers in bins UK' led me to all sorts of wildlife getting into bins, into houses through cat flaps and on around the world to burgling bears, honey badgers and so on.

We (the public) don’t know for sure, so very little information has actually been released about how the girls died etc. But it’s obvious they were being controlled in some way, eg by a weapon.

For me, part of the intrigue of this case is the lack of detail.

Dale Phillip on you tube and FB going round vlogging in Pakistan, Nepal, Egypt, Sri Lanka and loads of other places. He just chats and shared his little bits of travel.

That's why I always tell my kids to trust their instincts. If something doesn't feel right then just get the hell away, it doesn't matter if it's inappropriate or seen as rude just go.

In these poor girls' defence they were on that long old railway bridge - not many places to go.

Of course you are victim blaming! They thought the guy was creepy and filmed him, but did not realize he was going to rape and murder them until it was too late. He probably had a gun/ weapon.

I don't think he raped them, did he? But yeah obviously they couldn't get away at that point. Horrendous.

I don't know for sure, but the hot favourite is probably a badger, desperate because of the heatwave at the time, @FlippinOmicron . Finding out that squirrels do it too was a revelation! I'm thinking about getting a wildlife camera, so watching the footage will be another rabbit hole!
