I know people say a cup of tea cools you down but I just had one and it didn’t! I don’t like soft drinks either so I’m only drinking water all day long. What are you drinking and are you still drinking tea and coffee as normal?

Iced coffee! Can't do without a caffeine hit.

Runningupthathill01 · 18/07/2022 17:28

Are you making iced coffee at home or buying it?

I'm drinking tea but just letting it cool first!

I've had tea and coffee today. I've got the start of a summer cold, thanks to toddler DS, and I always crave tea when I have the scratchy throat and heady feeling at the start. I have also had a litre of orange squash as well.

Cuwins · 18/07/2022 17:32

I had 1 cup of coffee first thing as I get a headache otherwise but have brought some iced coffe for tomorrow. Otherwise it's water or mostly squash

GigantosaurusRex · 18/07/2022 17:33

Early morning of late evening when it's cool but otherwise no and it's killing me! My answer to all of life's ills is a cup of tea!

TooBigForMyBoots · 18/07/2022 17:33

Still drinking tea. It's my favourite drink.

Playplayaway · 18/07/2022 17:35

Loads of tepid tea. I can't live without it.
Planning on a coke float for pudding 😀

catlovingdoctor · 18/07/2022 17:36

Coffee as normal but while being in air con

fussychica · 18/07/2022 17:37

Yep tea and coffee as normal but even more water than I'd usually drink.

wtfisgoingonhere21 · 18/07/2022 17:41

Cold coffee and plenty of iced water.

The thought of a hot meal or drink makes me sweat and as for cooking none of that going on here.

Houmous carrots for dipping runner beans for dipping cheesy topped bread rolls and salad and a bag of crisps is on the menu for tea

WFHquestion · 18/07/2022 17:42

How do you make iced coffee?

Arenanewbie · 18/07/2022 17:42

black tea, so far I’ve had it twice instead of usual 3-4 times. And water as well.

chickma · 18/07/2022 17:43

Iced coffee!

midsomermurderess · 18/07/2022 17:43

Black Earl Grey. It seems to be hitting the spot.

elizabethdraper · 18/07/2022 17:43

Coffee as normal

Got husband to make me an ice coffee this afternoon just cos

YouLookinSusBro · 18/07/2022 17:44

Yep lots of coffee and lots of water, same as normal

perimenofertility · 18/07/2022 17:46

I'm making my own iced coffee at home.
Make coffee as usual (boiling water, coffee, milk), let cool, pour over ice.
You can just make it with cold water instead of boiling for speed but I find the flavour is better when made hot first.

Augend23 · 18/07/2022 17:46

Switched to homemade iced tea. I find earl grey/lady grey + plenty of orange and lemon slices and some squeezed orange or lemon gives a lovely refreshing drink without any added sugar.

UpdateStoleMyProfile · 18/07/2022 17:53

Iced coffee -

I make a cafetière of double strength coffee in the evening and shove it in the ‘fridge overnight.

day time, fill a mug with ice cubes, a splash of milk and some cold water, pour cold coffee over the top.

or if I’ve none cold I make a strong instant or espresso, pour that over milk and ice cubes.

alternating that with cold water and hot tea. Hot tea doesn’t cool me down but I still find it refreshing. Quenches thirst more effectively for me for some reason.

tigger1001 · 18/07/2022 17:55

A couple of cups in the morning as I need the caffeine hit. But then water/squash

Have got iced tea in the fridge though for after dinner

Kite22 · 18/07/2022 18:12

Yes. I do.
(De-caff) tea, coffee, and also water out the fridge.

RaininSummer · 18/07/2022 18:14

Yes I love my tea and coffee and not a fan of soft drinks. Water too though. However it has been freezing at work as the air conditioning is just silly.

IncessantNameChanger · 18/07/2022 18:14

Yes still drinking tea, just less often. Mostly been water today

WillYouDoTheFandango · 18/07/2022 18:15

Nope. DP came in and immediately offered me a tea but its 35 degrees and I find tea makes me hot at the beat of times. He looked at me like I was crazy when I said no.
