Gin and tonic etc.

Are you having one or two of these tonight ? Or vodka and tonic, white wine, lager, cider, champagne ?? I'm having my usual Tanqueray and tonic with ice and lime. I often think to buy other gins but always come back to my usual, especially when it's £20 a litre (a few weeks ago). Whatever, it's very welcome on a hot evening like this. West Yorkshire, BTW. Bon sante.

Pernod and water with tonnes of ice. Woudn't dream of drinking it except when it's baking hot, then it tastes like the essence of holidays.

Glendalough rose gin is my tonight tipple, with lime and mint.

Brockmans all the way, it's my favourite gin. I have a dribble of rose left in the fridge from last night but want to save that for later - if I drink it now I'll just be disappointed that it's gone!

Mine will be Tanqueray, but alcohol free, with Fevertree Mediterranean tonic.

I have Mermaid Gin. They have a new variety called Zest, in a gorgeous green bottle. It's delicious and very refreshing 😋

Rose wine for me tonight. May also have my Craft Gin cocktail. It's the last day of my family seaside holiday. Unfortunately we tested positive for Covid earlier in the week, so we haven't been able to do so many things as planned.

I'm recovering from Covid and on J.J. Whitley London Dry Gin with ice and a slice of lemon. But everything tastes salty at the moment so it's probably not the best at the moment.

Oh yes we have just had a large glass of Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla with tonic and loads of ice. It’s my absolute favorite. The perfect end to a hot sweaty day with the kids.

I had a kalimotxo earlier because it was hot enough for that to be perfection... Disturbingly delicious

Even on a warm evening, you can't beat the warm glow in your belly when a large G&T hits the spot. I don't know any other alcoholic drink that has the same effect (at least on me). Excellent! Tonight's South African Cabernet Sauvignon with my steaks has been really good too. Only two glasses, mind. I'm thinking of going to the pub as I'm not at the office tomorrow.

I went next door to my neighbours and had a couple of Sol’s with a wedge of lime with them, came home and now having one in the garden with dd.
i haven’t had a drink this weekend because I pick her up late from work so this has been my first opportunity for a beer in the sunny garden!
