Are you having one or two of these tonight ? Or vodka and tonic, white wine, lager, cider, champagne ?? I'm having my usual Tanqueray and tonic with ice and lime. I often think to buy other gins but always come back to my usual, especially when it's £20 a litre (a few weeks ago). Whatever, it's very welcome on a hot evening like this. West Yorkshire, BTW. Bon sante.

Tappers Springfever with Fevertree tonic here. It's cooling me down nicely...

I’ll never forget the time my mum and auntie critiqued my comedy skit while drinking straight Tanqueray over ice, and began to giggle. Then, instead of listening to me, they started cracking their own silly jokes. The more they drank, the more they laughed until they were in hysterics.
Thank you for that memory, @WildRosie — it’s a happy, funny one.

Drumshanbo Gunpowder gin….failing that Dingle Gin@

Both are fine choices! Have you tried an Dúlamán?

I have a choice between Blackwater and Greenalls. Both gifts I haven't tried before.

Happy to oblige, IDream.

Cold glass of white here tonight, enjoying every sip.

I DID go to the pub, I admit. Just a very small independent bar but standing room only tonight. Settle Old Smithy Porter going down a treat. Music good too - 1970s.

Current gin is Spirit of Exmoor, present from a dd. I also like a cucumber flavoured one - IIRC it’s a Hendrick’s.
Can’t beat a G&T when it’s hot.

It’s been 28.5 in the shade here and upstairs is like an oven, despite all sun-facing windows having curtains drawn all day.

Over 5he course of the day, since I sat down to watch the tennis at 2, I've had a bottle of MudHouse Marlborough Sauvignon. Blanc. Just about ready for bed now!

WildRosie · 10/07/2022 22:06

weegie. That wine is a little beyond my price range but I hope it was good stuff nonetheless. £7 is about my maximum.

North Uist Distilleries Downpour Gin, which is my favourite , with a slice of pink grapefruit, ice and Schweppes Slimline Tonic….heaven.

I haven't had a drink tonight but I want one now!
I really don't drink very much but for some reason I really fancied a nice drink the other day so I bought myself a bottle of Beefeater Blood Orange and a posh glass. Lovely with ice and lemonade. 🍹
