Universal credit risk review team ? Whay is this

So I have a message on my uc saying I have an appointment coming up with the risk review team can someone give me an insight as to what on earth that means or what it’s about

My first review in 2022 where i had to submit everything took about 2 months but i still got paid. My second one which was a month ago only asked id and 4 months bank statements was very quick a week ill say, i submitted them and got a call in a few days.

Mine was recent first time asking for anything. We got asked for alot though maybe cause there's me and my partner and 3 kids but I've submitted it all but they stopped our money from day 1 and was due yesterday couldn't pay no bills my rent dnt no what to do. I've made complaints been about week since they had all documents.

Alot of ppl have been complaining about that and to be honest making any formal complaints dont speed the process. Its so bad they dnt know what ppl suffer due to the delays. Worse to come apparently after this month the DWP will be accessing everyones bank statments monthly (ppl who are on benifits).

Thank god I got the review done this afternoon they said they re started my payments thanks for your advice. Have a lovely day.

where did you hear it starts next month (checking bank accounts)

It was all over the internet. I heard it on facebook UC groups and checked online it was there.

i know what you are talking about but it is not starting next month please dont spread this about you will just cause worry and anxiety to people that already are finding things tough.You dont know more than anybody else it is a proposal which will be in the Autumn statement so you are wrong about the dates and we will all have to wait and see,The subject is gaining interest with disability and welfare groups and hopefully maybe something can be done to stop this bill going through

i for one am very unhappy about this and as much as people say it is to check for savings and fraud im not so sure this will be the only snooping but dont scare people there is so much we dont know for definite just yet

Lets vote them out,maybe they think it will be a vote winner,maybe its just another bluff didnt they say that Universal credit would slash fraud and admin and be a one stop shop,sold a lie there to,someone said it was going to be in the kings speech it was not got to wait for a couple of weeks

i’ve waited two weeks and still no interview just keep getting told in due course has anyone else had this i’m getting really stressed. i haven’t had my payment stopped the message originally just send i need my claim revised and would have to provide documents i did, i sent 4 months bank statements and ID and two weeks later still nothing i keep writing in journal but get nothi f

Ive had same message today worried sick

Mines sorted now got my money a day late cause I kept on at them. The only advice I can give you is just give them everything they ask for no matter how stupid and as quick as you can. I have still filed a complaint as i found out they don't stop all peoples money. I hope it all goes well for you.

same well last Friday & its made my bpd & anxiety go through the roof. In bed sick to my stomach. There's so many changes now its scary. I hadn't been logging it then changed number & they had been trying to get hold of me for weeks & my payment had actually stopped because they had asked me to log send bank statements last 4 months , photo id. I had to go in yesterday just after major back surgery . I preferred ESA so much better you got a letter if they wanted you that was it.

I hadnt been logging in to my universal credit account because im on pip for having BPB , severe anxiety & im in recovery for a major back operation from a condition i was told for over 10 years was in my head before finally being diagnosed & the surgery hasn't helped much & will probably need to wait on the list for the op again. I phoned up to change my number & my benifit had actually stopped because they had put in my journal they were doing a review and wanted 4 months bank statements , photo id & if i used my other bedroom for my disability.I had to go up got id bit sorted now & sent what they asked for & will be checking my account from now on but ive still not had my payment & i sent the last thing they needed today and i got a reply saying id uploaded the document for the UCR review . I have googled what it means some say its universal credit review & nothing to worry about that its a new thing but ive saw something called universal credit risk review team is for like huge fraud with IRIS i dont even know what that is , i thought it was tax man. Now im even more stressed why the last reply said UCR review. I'm a worrier as it is & just now ive so much going on in my life just adding to my struggles. Does anyone know why it says UCR review on last message back but when 1st explaining they said it was a universal credit review which is scary enough never mind a risk one. If UCR is normal why would the lady have wrote review after UCR in the last message . I'm so confused & its been over an hour so i feel physically sick. Someone please educate me ESA was so much easier they just sent a letter if they needed to know anything all your info online is scary to. worlds changed so much

So sorry to hear all this,but dont worry the call is only to ask if you have savings, other bank accounts and paypal accounts. So dont stress yourself out about it i know its easier said than done but the call literally lasts for about 10mins.
