Anyone else couldn’t get into Stranger Things?

Over the last few days, people have been posting relentlessly about Stranger Things on Facebook.

I have the first season a go when it first came out, and I couldn’t get into it at all.

Me too. We're on season 2 and I hope to get the hype soon but so far it's a reasonably enjoyable but repetitive sci-fi drama

I was surprised I didn’t like it. I usually love things like that. I’m a big buffy, charmed, angel, supernatural and all stuff like that fan.

I think if you are of a certain age (ie 40s/early 50s) it has a certain nostalgia value for your own childhood and teens.

I've enjoyed it, but then I do like a lot of Sci fi and horror type stuff.

That’s the thing. I like teen programs. I like watching some kids programs too.

We tried it last summer and just couldn't get into it at all. I have spent so my h of my life giving programmes 'just one more episode' that now if a programme hasn't grabbed me by episode 3, it's gone.

I watched the first series. Wasn't impressed. I mean, it's ok but it's not the most brilliant TV in years etc.

I think it gets better. Season 3 was my favourite. I'm liking season 4 so far too but haven't finished it yet.

I like it but it's not my favourite as I'm not much into sci fi. I mainly like it for the setting though, because I adore watching 70s/80s/90s stuff anyway. I think the whole style of it is really good and I love the theme tune.

I had to try again after not getting into it first time - we watch as a family though (older DC) and now we are all really into it

I am see it’s high quality television but I can’t do supernatural anythings. My kids want me to watch with them and to me it’s ridiculous. Though I like the ‘80s stuff.

I enjoy it but... The chronic child abuse finally got to me after awhile, I want to scream foul things at many of the characters, how they should be locked up. As a household we started out taking the piss because the plot is full of holes, you have to be pretty tolerant to ignore them. S4-Volume 2 is seeming rushed and not so well edited, too.

I know a couple of friends struggled to get into the first series and gave up but you need to stick with it. Seasons 2 and 3 are brilliant 🙂

Yes this. I hadn't watched firestarter since the 1980s but then go on to love drew Barrymore and I think there is a bit of that in the first season. I just have been under 10, so like 30 years ago

Me. I enjoyed the 1st series but just couldn't get into the second one. I tried twice and gave up. Same with the series Dark, everyone raves about it but I've tried 3 times to get into it and just can't.

I quite enjoyed it at the time but nothing much about it has stayed with me, which says something, I suppose.
I had three tries at getting into Westworld and gave up, it just wasn't for me.
