21 guesses today. Failed yesterday, couldn't think beyond it being something like an arrowhead or axe.

I thought about axe yesterday (I'd got 'iron' from a bit that looked like it would be 'during the iron age', but then helpfully iron got a couple more hits suggesting it was some sort of object which might have iron in it). But I couldn't think of any 9 letter types of axe.
