The arts do seem to have been under-represented so far - the only one I can remember was 'war and peace', I assume the handful of 'arty' people (Byron, dahl, Chopin, Streep) would be in the 'people' list in wiki.

Bdragon · 18/07/2022 20:45

179...bored of the sciences ones too.

PeppaPigIsBacon · 18/07/2022 21:05

Very fed up of this topic now

Can anyone share the answer to yesterday's? #102. I didn't get a chance to finish it but I did get the second word but it doesn't match with the info page revealing the answer.

Coriolis force

ErrolTheDragon · 18/07/2022 22:17

The wikiguesser one may be a subject many prefer...but tbh the unredacted numbers etc make it a bit too easy.

Wickywickyyow · 18/07/2022 22:28

Thanks, the info page says coriolis effect. Same thing I'm sure but these things matter!

Coriolis effect redirects to Coriolis force, maybe the former was what was randomly selected but the latter was therefore what was usedConfused

InMySpareTime · 19/07/2022 06:06

@Wikiguesser the wiki guesser site says there's a new one in -6 hours and the countdown is counting up Confused

Wikiguesser · 19/07/2022 07:43

@InMySpareTime, @ErrolTheDragon Thank you for your feedback!

I'm currently hand selecting the article and updating the countdown manually every morning (North Europe Time Zone 😅)

Thanks for the tip about the numbers making it too easy to guess 🥰

And the phonetic symbols in that one might make it obvious to people who read them? Maybe it wouldn't have been so easy for other similar topics, the lengths of the three words were a large part of why I could get that one in 3 from the first paragraph.
But in in yesterdays I noticed that there weren't the typographical clues redactle gives (subscripts &superscripts) - in some topics if you didn't have the numbers either would then be very hard.,

Honestly I like these topics, I have some knowledge in them, but even I think the selection is unbalanced. I guess that’s the nature of genuine randomness, but still…

Should have got it 15 sooner. Also bored of these, O levels were a long time ago and this area wasn't my strongest.
