It's not 😅.

I actually tried to guess some of the really heavy science stuff on redactle and found it impossible.

I'm trying to understand, what kind of puzzles have you enjoyed the most?

Agree there is too much science in redactle. Recent ones that I've enjoyed that I remember are things like perfume or vikings. Things that are gettable without having to resort to Google. Would be good to have more literature/art/popular culture/people.

I played yours today and got it almost straight away so maybe a bit easy, especially with the numbers.

Very playable and I like the layout.

Lots of Google as really don't know anything in this area.

PeppaPigIsBacon · 17/07/2022 21:30

Would never have got this without Google

Would be good to have more literature/art/popular culture/people.

There's been fewer literature/art/people cropping up so far in the redactle selection from the '10,000 vital articles' than I'd have expected. But I think that's quite a good set to choose from.
I'm guessing those articles don't include much 'popular culture' - I'm inclined to think that genre might be best avoided tbh except for cases likely to be recognised across a wide age range and at least most anglophone players.

I'm still getting the "this connection is not private" message after a few weeks, on multiple different devices. Any ideas on how to overcome?!

I had to Google. Too many of this subject, which isn't my strong point!

Not fond of so many sciencey ones! I was able to work out the overall theme but would never in a million years have got the actual answer without searching Wiki with a phrase i had worked out.

I was certain I had tried that term ages before! I need to pay more attention.

poppym12 · 18/07/2022 18:10

Getting bored now. They always seem to be about similar (boring to me) subjects.

12 guesses and it was done and that's because my starting words are now certain things I wouldn't have used a while ago.

I had to Google, brain is frazzled.

FeliciaFancybottom · 18/07/2022 18:25

I wish they'd give this particular subject a bloody rest! I solved today's Redactle (#103) in 87 guesses with an accuracy of 70.11%.

LadyOfTheCanyon · 18/07/2022 18:46

I'll be honest, I'm getting sick of cycling through the same words for a subject I'm not interested in!

I solved today's Redactle (#103) in 130 guesses with an accuracy of 33.85%. Played at www.redactle.com/

Pleased to get that without Google today. I do agree that the subjects don’t seem very balanced recently

MrsElm · 18/07/2022 19:07

I solved today's Redactle (#103) in 31 guesses with an accuracy of 61.29%. Played at www.redactle.com/

Definitely time for a change of subject!

suckingonchillidogs · 18/07/2022 19:25

I don't even care what it is now I've got the gist - there's no way these are just random, it's someone with an interest in this particular subject! Come on Redactle - there are books, music, plays, countries - hell I'd prefer bloody screws or skirt again!

Cooroo · 18/07/2022 19:28

I solved today's Redactle (#103) in 177 guesses with an accuracy of 42.37%. Played at www.redactle.com/

Got there without Google but agree we need more variety. Mind you Pedantle was 'Sewage treatment' yesterday so there are plenty more unpleasant topics out there!

ErrolTheDragon · 18/07/2022 19:29

6 of the last 10 have been other types of subject.
Too much physical science and not enough biological/medical though.

ApolloandDaphne · 18/07/2022 19:36

I would like more literary/art topics!

BestIsWest · 18/07/2022 19:38

I stopped doing it a week or so ago because I was fed up of the lack of non science topics.
