I knew what it was about quite early on but couldn’t remember the name for it so used up lots of goes trying to remember before giving up and googling

Worked out the broad area fairly early followed by throwing all the words I could think of at it, then googled. Would never have got it as I hadn't heard of it.

Got the general area straight away, but had to google for the precise word once I got enough filled in to know I knew exactly what was being referred to, but was unfamiliar with the word. Although I should have been able to extrapolate it…

I agree! There do seem to be a disproportionate number of science-y topics.

As to the range of topics - supposedly it's a random selection from

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Vital_articles/Level/4

Certain topics do seem to be coming up disproportionately often/rarely but that's randomness for you, I suppose.
