Is there anything else I can do to help ds with hay-fever?

I've never had it but poor ds (10) is really suffering.

Sneezing, blocked nose, sore eyes etc

He's come in today and his eyes are all puffy too

He's been on antihistamines for months but they seem to have no effect whatsoever.

Amazon has it too.

But not the paediatric dose, that I could see? She’s light for her age, so I don’t want to risk an adult dose.

OP Glad you got the prescription. Did the GP say the Beconase was suitable for a 10yo? I’ve been holding off on it due to pharmacist saying it wasn’t, but if she could take it I’m sure it would help.

Is this dose what others' kids are on?

I don't want to speak too soon but he seems much better already (sure it's just coincidence but he's gone from sneezing every 20 minutes to twice today?)

He's on 1 tablet twice a day.

That sounds good @Workyticket
our dc started suffering last year and is worse again this year. They have just turned 14. It effects their asthma too.
To keep things well controlled they take:
120 fexofenadine in the morning with eye drops, nasal spray and their usual inhaler.
eye drops after school
eye drops, nasal spray, usual inhaler and montelukast before bed.
we don’t dry any if their laundry outside and they shower twice a day.
they were recently away with school and managed to do all of this and it worked brilliantly. The pharmacy had a device so they can even do their own eye drops.
The trick is to get things going before things get bad (if you can - we couldn’t get the GP to prescribe montelukast this year until dc became symptomatic which was hugely frustrating)

Yes, same as my 10yo.

Nasal sprays work well here as do the allergy face wipes.
We also have air purifier in the house.
