Ran for the train

And ended up wetting myself.

I feel awful.
Wearing leggings and tunic half way down my thighs.
Nothing visible as far as I know.

I'm standing up with my back to a something so no one can see anyway- until I get off.

Journey about another 20 mins.

I must stink.

Feel absolutely dreadful.

@FilterWash in some respects I don't care what you think, but it would be a shame if your unpleasantness put people off posting when they have a genuine problem.

Re; name change, it wasn't difficult at all to do it on the app when I was on the train. Sorry to hear that you find it challenging.

I'm awake at 2.53 because of acid reflux, or is it verboten to mention that too?

Hugely appreciate the solidarity from other women on this thread. Thank you.

I'm also with you on that one too. I have reflux because of a hernia caused largely by the awful coughing when I had bronchitis - so............
An otherwise perfectly healthy woman is now looking forward to another gastroscopy (under sedation this time) and has a hiatus hernia, possibly an ulcer which is causing me to be sick constantly because of the reflux, and pees herself at will.
It's not nice but I'm dealing with it.
OP I am totally with you on this. It is not funny by any means but you have to laugh or you would bloody cry

In recent years I've found out causes of bladder weakness/urge incontinence other than childbirth - might be worth thinking if any apply to you:

  • ab separation (diastasis recti) - found an app with specific ab exercises to follow and this made the biggest difference to me than anything else I've tried.
  • menopause - HRT or topical cream could help but I haven't tried either.
  • being hypermobile - I've just been diagnosed so not much info on this, but likely to be the biggest cause of my urge incontinence. Just knowing that it's not because I haven't done enough pelvic floor exercises (I have done them for decades!) is helpful.

I get awful bladder irritation when I drink blackcurrant too - I avoid it now and apparently it is quite common! Makes it hard to hold on for a pee sometimes!

Don't feel bad. And don't let anyone here make you feel bad. I have to wear a pad liner every day as I have leakage, so sometimes if I cough or sneeze it's a good thing to have the liner on. I'm sure If I was running or jogging I would've leaked as well.

5 children later and yup I get stress incontinence occasionally

It's much better since I lost weight. Still can't drink for an hour or so before I go on long walks though
