"One night with your ex"

I've seen a couple of these shows where ex partners spend a night together and wondered what others felt about this. Could it be a good opportunity to talk over things that were left unsaid, raise more problems or possibly rekindle?

Personally I'm still on the fence, plus there's so many exes I wouldn't know who to choose. Smile

I wouldn't want 1 second with mine

RoyKentsChestHair · 13/06/2022 17:35

I accidentally had one night with my ex recently - I thought it meant we might get back together but he clearly didn’t. It was a little glimpse into what I had been missing and craving for months. But his reaction to it was a wake up call that I’d always loved him more than he loved me. It was like a micro version of our whole relationship in a few hours!

A week later and it feels like closure - at least I don’t hate him anymore and I know he doesn’t hate me. I remember why I loved him so much but I also remember why we split.

Would not recommend if you’re still in any way in love as it has messed me up emotionally but as it happened, I don’t regret it as such.

If it was “One night with your ex affected by a truth serum” I might be tempted!
But sadly as that’s not possible I wouldn’t bother.

PeggyLeggy · 13/06/2022 17:51

I’d rather die

ShirleyJackson · 13/06/2022 17:57

Dunno…would I be able to build a patio in one night?

Blue4YOU · 13/06/2022 18:00

I’d say the same - as in which one - and no. I’d rather eat my feet is the answer to all of them

I'll help you!

DemBonesDemBones · 13/06/2022 18:25

Depends which one. A few yes, one definitely not, ever.

Brightermornings · 13/06/2022 18:25

Ex-husband I'd rather have my knee caps blown off then made to run a marathon

coodawoodashooda · 13/06/2022 18:21

I'll help you!

I'll help too. With three of us it shouldn't take too long.

Survivingmy3yearold · 13/06/2022 18:27

I'd rather shit in my hands and clap than spend another second with my ex, let alone a night!

My parents will definitely help.

GoldenOmber · 13/06/2022 18:29

Yeah, but not a whole night. Just long enough for him to drop off all my stuff he kept then bugger off again.

Absolutely not. My ex was an abusive bullying control freak and I didn't realise it until he cracked my skull with a pewter pot for daring to disagree with him having another drink. My secret revenge has been to marry a truly lovely man and have fabulous children, a nice house and a good standard of living. He's still single (20 years on) and is still trying to become the world famous guitar player he always thought he would be.

TheVolturi · 13/06/2022 18:39

Ewwww no ta.

ThirtyThreeTrees · 13/06/2022 18:52

You know what they say, some times an ex comes back into your life just to check of you're still stupid!

I don't believe in looking back, it prevents you going forward so nope, zero I interest even though I've never had a bad break up.

bloodyunicorns · 13/06/2022 18:54

Some of these replies are hilarious...

But not @SailingNotSurfing - 💐 to you. The best revenge is a life well lived.

I'd love a night with a couple of my exes - those long-ago ones that got away. Not to shag them, just to talk.

namechangeanonymous · 13/06/2022 18:55

I wouldn't choose to be in the same city as that no hoper.

Mangogogogo · 13/06/2022 19:02

I went snooping back round my ex years and years ago.. my first proper love. We got another few good years out of our relationship and parted ways due to other stuff going on.

my next ex moaned fucking constantly that he didn’t get his one extra night with me! Like it was some kind of right!!
the fact he never showered or brushed his teeth never came into his head

TheVanguardSix · 13/06/2022 19:05

Eww. No.
Mine's currently trying not to drop the soap in Wormwood Scrubs.
I'll happily leave him to it.

nonstopsally · 13/06/2022 19:58

Some of these replies are so funny!
Patio digging, eating own feet, being kneecapped! I'm guessing from these PP's exes have all been pretty rotten.

If I spent one night with my ex I would probably be leaving in a police car 😬

dubyalass · 13/06/2022 20:10

The most recent one: fuck no, although I'd happily join the patio crew. But I was thinking about another (lovely) ex earlier, and would quite like another night with him where for once I hadn't drunk a skinful for courage and could instead really enjoy him. But he's been in a happy relationship for years, which is great.

ImNotYourHunHun · 13/06/2022 20:21

I'd rather lick my cats arse!
