Songs that should be banned from radio request shows

I love a radio listeners request show for opportunities to hear long forgotten but amazing songs.

I find it such a wasted opportunity when people ring in and ask for the same, obvious things and if i was the host, I would have a ban list. First song on it would be:

Don't Stop Me Now by Queen

Just imagine... you get through to a big national show, you can play anything you want. Anything! And you choose Don't Stop Believing.

Yes, such a waste of a golden opportunity, choosing something that will be on their playlist for the day anyway, when you could give everybody listening a bit of a surprise. Personally, I'd choose The Marrow Song!

Since everyone got Spotify I have no idea WHY people request songs.

I also wonder why people 'say hello' to people in Ken Bruce type shows. So weird now.

20 years ago I can see it as being a bit special but now? No I will not listen to Aunty Jan saying my name out loud on National radio

@Coastalcreeksider It gives me the rage that it's always The Corrs version played. The Phil Lynott version is soooo much better.

Anything by Westlife, Atomic Kitten or Steps. Bad karaoke is being polite, I would not even recognise such noise in the music charts.
