God this game makes me feel stupid - well not the game but the thread I think! I’m in awe of people who can do it in 10 or under. I tried reading it all the way through but there was literally nothing that made me think of either of the words in the title, and I can’t begin to even ‘read’ it without putting in some of the filler words.

All that said, today was actually a brilliant day for me, no googling or anything needed, it’s just always more luck than skill with me!

Yesterday's was plasma. You can look at a link for just one past word (no more I think).

I think I just got really lucky - I read through the page ( which I normally don't do) and the length of it, the amount of commas and colons set me in the right area and then all that was left was to think of what fell within that remit that was two short words. I should stress that I absolutely never get this lucky usually and just plug away with words.

Knowing from you lot that this was gettable quickly motivated me to sit back and read it thoroughly and I did manage it in two guesses.

There weren't any clues I could consciously identify but like Vivienne said, it just felt right that it should be that class of thing.

Sometimes I'm just in the zone, and sometimes (naming no alligators) I'm not. Helps when I take the time to do it on my laptop instead of my phone as well.

I don’t think that’s luck I think that’s real skill and cleverness!

Yesterday I was doing Redactle while watching Jim Al-Khalili talking about star formation on BBC4, which made it a lot easier, but the combination of the two did mean that I've been singing The Sun Is A Miasma of Incandescent Plasma (follow up to the previous, less scientifically accurate "The Sun is a Mass of Incandescent Gas") all day.

I did an ErroltheDragon today 😀It was no quicker than usual though because I carefully read the whole thing through three times before I guessed.
I was doubtful because I was expecting a lot more reference to a certain topic that was covered in only two or three lines

@AliasGrape me too to be honest. But then I have to remind myself I'm never going to be someone who reads it all first, especially not on a mobile!

I read it through first too, normally takes me +120 guesses so I'm hoping my luck continues today! I allocate my coffee time so now I'm at a loose end and may need to sort the washing before going to work...

19 guesses and 52% accuracy.

I find reading the whole article through beforehand so incredibly boring that I normally manage a paragraph and then just throw in words. Respect to those who get all the way through!

I tend to skim-read looking for oddities which may be clues. Today they are mostly in the first section.

Of course sometimes there isn't much to go on, and there may be misleading words or surprisingly absent ones.

Ruined my stats by taking a couple of days off but happy with a return to form. Not as good as some of you, evidently!
