Why are you on mumsnet in the small hours?

Just reading a new thread that was posted just before 1am and it got me wondering why you’re on mumsnet in the middle of the night? Or maybe it’s not nighttime where you are?

I’ll go first; I’m doing a night feed with DC! 😴 (01:38am England)

Happy combo of recovering from a bug, period due (always gives me insomnia) and peri menopausal. What larks!

Chocolatethief · 12/05/2022 02:13

Reading mumsnet to distract myself from my thoughts, should try to get help but none available

builtonrocks · 12/05/2022 02:14

I'm on my 'sleep break', it's the only time I get to myself to calmly reply to emails, fill out online paperwork and scroll/shop online. I love it!

I'm a night owl, I love the calm of the early hours.

Scottishskifun · 12/05/2022 02:16

Another feed Scotland 2.15 I find if I read mn then I don't close my eyes as I can never be bothered to get out of bed!

Emoj · 12/05/2022 02:16

Have been up chatting to DC and their partner who got in just before midnight

TooTiredToSleepRightNow · 12/05/2022 02:17

Toddler only just gone to sleep so now it’s me time. Have to be up for work. Need to sort this out😩

Newhome121 · 12/05/2022 02:17

feeling anxious about finding a house to move into. Feeling anxious about everything else too. Just dreading tomorrow (well today now it’s 2:13am England), seeing MIL. Haven’t seen her for 2 blessed weeks. She takes care of my son when I worked (her choice completely). I left work and everyday she cries to DH she misses her 1:1 time with ds. She keeps asking me when I’m planning to go to work! I keep feeling guilty as DH keeps telling me his parents are lonely and ds keeps them busy so today I’m dropping him off there. I’ve loved spending last week and this week with my baby. I just wish I didn’t feel guilty spending time with him. DH keeps saying his mum was crying on the phone.

sorry for long rant lol!

Rolypolyfishheads · 12/05/2022 02:27

My legs really ache so can't sleep 😩 have just taken Naproxen to see if that helps me. 02:27 England

PollyDarton2 · 12/05/2022 02:31

She did have a baby! Perhaps I am Bridget Jones 😉

(going to Google when that movie came
out, guessing her baby is no longer a baby!)

Samanabanana · 12/05/2022 02:32

I'm struggling with severe night time breastfeeding aversion with an older baby who wants to nurse literally all night long. It's awful and making me feel sad and guilty. UK 2:32

Notthesportytype · 12/05/2022 02:39

LondonQueen · 12/05/2022 03:20

I've injured my back and can't sleep for the pain!

Pinklimey · 12/05/2022 03:23

Was so pleased about going to sleep at a decent time. Now 3:20 am in England. Wondering if I should get up and put music and my joggers on and go for a run, making sure to say hi to complete strangers, rather than giving them a wide berth. 🧟‍♀️

Pinklimey · 12/05/2022 03:24

I meant to say I woke up in the early hours as I have a lovely sleep pattern.
