I solved Semantle #102 in 10 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 14.47. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #2. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 19.11. semantle.com/

Just slightly kicking myself as I almost went for the target word on guess 3 but diverted slightly instead. But I’ll take 10.

This made lots more sense than yesterday thankfully although I still messed around for a while.

I really need to get new starter words, I’m almost 50 guesses in without a hint of green!

Those who got it quickly - which number on the list was your first green? I’m fascinated by how people had a connected word in their opening few guesses now I know what the word is!

It took me 46 guesses to get a green, which was about average for me. I usually spend a while in the 20s similarity before getting a feel for the green direction.

A bit annoyed that I had a decent word at guess 6 and it took me more than 40 more to get there! But glad it was less than 50 today.

It was number 902 for me. I then tried 814 and 599 before getting the target.

Like I said 902 is usually in my first few guesses and if it's green I usually follow up with the above before getting into more specific answers related to 902

Totally shocked by this! I didn’t even read this thread or anything (normally I always need to). I went 902, then 997, and then got it on the next guess.

It's one of my regular starter words. I've got a list I've compiled from what other on here have said

My first green was 798, so I came from a completely different angle to previous posters.... it was a logical progression from a near green.

I'm adding 902 to my starter list. It covers various types of words and situations.

I usually have 902 in my starters, but also 798 - today I used the latter first so went from there.

902 is a great one considering some the other words we’ve had. Definitely adding that to the list!

I have 20+ greens but like yesterday just getting confused. I'm going to leave it for a while.
