Anyone own a pizza oven?

Are they worth buying? What sort of features should I look out for? How much am I likely going to need to spend? Are they just a big old gimmick or something we are actually likely to use?

DH and I don’t eat meat so a BBQ is a rad pointless. But quite like the idea of whipping up a pizza on a summers evening.

We have a frying pan🤣
Honestly, it's the best method and only takes about 5 minutes to cook a pizza!
Turn your grill on to max temperature and place a shallow ovenproof dish in, upside down( so you can place your frying pan on it.
Put your (non-stick) frying pan on a high heat, and roll out your dough to size of frying pan. Do NOT add oil. Once pan is really hot, place your pizza dough in, and give it a minute or so. Then add tomato sauce, layer of mozzarella and whatever other toppings you want. Let it cook for another couple of minutes(can check the base is crisping up by lifting up a bit with a spatula) Once base is as you like it, remove from heat and stick under the grill for a minute or two
Delicious!

We started with an Aldi one which was under £100 about 5 years ago. Loved it and used it loads and have just replaced it with an Ooni which is on another level and just brilliant.

My ex built a pizza oven / smoker in the garden. It’s a cheaper but more permanent option than an Ooni and works really well, although I don’t use it much.
