I was the 97th to find it. I was soooooo close from a very early word but then went round in circles for ages.

Omg @InMySpareTime you’re usually such an early solver. Today’s was a knob and for anyone stuck on 997 I can recommend looking at it in a dictionary and then scrolling up the word list a little.

I had actual work to do today and a good half of my attention was on 997 synonyms for the duration. I was so annoyed when it wasn't actually a synonym or semantically similar anyway.
What's 980 about? It's not even a word or a typo.

@BIWI your best bet in that case is to try all the words with the same root word as 997 and 95 until you hit it.
