Someone said "there" and "their" are homonyms.
They're homophones.

@Fabvegetablegrower

The best way to remember stationery is that it has an E for envelope. My typing teacher taught me this years ago.
I was told to think papER is stationERy,

and a stationARy cAR.

Not spelling as such, but ‘Me and dh’, and ‘Myself and dh’ do make me cringe a bit, ditto ‘Between you and I…’.
I used to have a friend who said that a lot, evidently thinking it was ‘correct’. Of course I never told her, but did often wonder whether she’d have preferred to know.

I know I was lucky to have a DM who told me how to know whether to use I or me - so many decades ago now but I still remember it.

Turn it around - you’d never say (e.g.) ‘Between I and dh…’. or e.g. ‘She gave it to I and my sister.’
It was only some years later that I learned about direct and indirect objects, which is the reason behind it.

The practice/practise/ licence/license thing is complicated by Americans using the opposite form ie they practice their craft and have a license to do do.

Wilko’s massive trucks used to be plastered with ‘Everytime!’ in whacking great letters, That used to make me want to chuck bricks at them.

I've noticed over the past few years people have begun using the word "APART" when they mean "a part". SO they will say 'I'm happy to be apart of your group'

which means they are not in the group, sort of, it's apart from, but it's confusing.

It started happening and I don't know why but many seem to have altered how they write now.

This and also words like everyday people are separating now. They will put mean while instead of meanwhile.

What's going on?
