Its just everything, the news ,the war, energy costs, food and petrol prices, covid still here, and the weather is so shite. And i have health anxiety and worry about every little thing.

Im just fed up.

Mysteryclub · 05/04/2022 20:13

Don’t be sorry. I think we all feel that way, to some extent extent Flowers

thesunwillout · 05/04/2022 20:19

Sorry you're feeling so down.
I'm struggling, esp the last two weeks.
It's just everything, I know how you feel. Xx

Fairyliz · 05/04/2022 20:23

I think everyone feels a bit like this at the moment unfortunately. It’s just bad news after bad new.
I find it helps a bit to get out in the fresh air in a green space. Are you able to do this op?

RonWeasleysBackfiringWand · 05/04/2022 20:24

Everything is shit xx

Mrsbclinton · 05/04/2022 20:25

I know how you feel.

ssd · 05/04/2022 20:26

I went a walk today and got drenched, the rain is horizontal.

Makes everything worse.

it's a tough world right now. I stop watching the news then feel guilty I can just switch it off.

lucysmam · 05/04/2022 20:28

@ssd sorry to see this :( Keep plodding on Thanks

Hopefully things will pick up! (I'd say pick up soon but I think this is going to be a long slog)

WhatIsThisPlease · 05/04/2022 20:32

Sorry you're feeling so rubbish OP.

Not remotely helpful but I'm feeling exactly the same at the moment. Got the worst case of The Fuck 'ems I've ever had.

💐

mrswhiplington · 05/04/2022 20:40

I know how you feel. It's like there's no light at the end of the tunnel. Just drudgery and paying bills. I try to enjoy the really small things. Favourite TV programmes, food, odd glass of wine. Love seeing the daffodils. Hopefully things will improve for you soon. ☺️

gettingolderandgrumpy · 05/04/2022 20:58

Meh feel like this myself at the moment, was seriously grumpy last week with work and everything, no good news and then I get covid .feeling very sorry for myself .
But like others say you need to find the little things in life to make you happy it’s temporary this feeling .

ssd · 05/04/2022 21:20

I think I'll go for a swim tomorrow and buy myself some daffodils. And keep the news off.

mjf981 · 05/04/2022 21:49

Internet/SM/news detox for a week? Turn it all off. Get out in nature instead.

carefullycourageous · 05/04/2022 21:53

Definitely keep the news off. How do you help anyone in Ukraine etc. by becoming more unhappy?

The world is unfair. You are not to blame for that.

Do something positive tomorrow, help someone you can help. And do something enjoyable too.

worriedaboutmoney2022 · 05/04/2022 21:58

I know how you feel @ssd I could have written this myself
No magic wand to wave but big handhold xx

Thank you everyone Flowers

@ssd

Thank you everyone Flowers
Try not to focus too much on things you cannot do anything about. The news is awful just now and unbearable to listen to especially given the footage of war crimes which we can't stop from happening. I think you have to concentrate on positive stuff and get out and about even if it's just for a walk in the bloody rain :)
Lovinglife45 · 05/04/2022 23:15

I am sorry op. It is an unsettling time for many.

I too am worrying about rising costs; petrol, gas, electric, groceries. The house requires painting and new furniture but cannot entertain the idea.

My anxiety is through the roof. I wake around 3am every morning and lay there for three/four hours. Shattered and irritable during the day through lack of sleep.

ssd · 06/04/2022 10:44

Ive checked the weather forecast, its raining from now till next weekend, bar Saturday. Its dry in London till next weekend. Its ok saying go a walk in the rain, i got soaked through yesterday and this doesn't help. Im in Glasgow which is wet a lot.

OP posts:
lucysmam · 06/04/2022 13:22

Don't go for a walk in the rain; the only people I know who enjoy walking in the rain are the 3yo children at work when we've dressed them in wellies and puddlesuits to go out in it!

What do you enjoy usually @ssd?

ssd · 06/04/2022 19:30

I enjoy chatting to friends over coffee, swimming, going out for the day a nice drive, generally just mooching about. I've turned off the news today so feel better for that. Its all just too much. Dh has it on all the time

I like walking in the rain if I have my good coat and my wellies on!
LadyCatStark · 06/04/2022 22:18

Me too, I honestly wish I wasn’t here anymore. My dog likes walking in the wind and rain, so I have to do it but it’s grim. And in the words of Nikki Grahame RIP, “I’m sooooo coldddd” no chance of having the heating on though.
