I solved Semantle #66 in 166 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 6.70. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #119. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 78.68 (999/1000). semantle.novalis.org/

Took me absolutely ages to get anywhere remotely near green but once I finally managed it I got to the target word quite quickly - largely thanks to the clues on here & the last thread I must admit!

I solved Semantle #66 in 32 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 8.14. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #14. My penultimate guess had a similarity of -2.28. semantle.novalis.org/

Thought I was in there early on but was a bit of a dead end! Helped by a clue on here eventually

I've been sick all night and have spent all day on the sofa. Brain is mush. Highest I have is 790 and don't think I can get much further without a clue - can anyone help a poorly one out?!

Pleased with today:

Better than yesterday which was over 200!

@Lotsofpots your lower greens should give you an idea what they're 790 in. What makes them that way in that skillset?

My first green guess was 40. I'm obviously not going to give the word away at this point today, but I am at a loss to know how this is related to the actual, final word! It sent me off on a trail that ultimately was fruitless, even though it took me up to 970!

Both the words could have appeared in an article about 922s

My mum sent me her green words the other day (direct) and she didn't crop! I was so cross with her! But her words sent me down a mad trail, I was mixing my track with her track and got nowhere! She confused me more! 😂

44 is pretty obscure

Got it in 92 guesses today - I do go for speed though with jamming in as many words as quickly as possible rather than finesse to try and get it done before work. Might try and get it in lower amount of guesses tomorrow.

Lots of the words in the top 1000 are terms probably no-one would ever enter as a guess knowing that the solution is taken from a list of the commonest 5000 words. They're just amusing fluff really.

Tried to post on thread 7 and thought we’d been banned or something when it said thread closed!! Haha!

Played with 9yo DD today. I had it slightly quicker but it was keeping her quiet so I didn’t say anything
