I found today's really hard. I had no greens for ages and then got 782 which did not help me get the final answer at all! I ended up getting lower greens than 782. It was hard work! Even after I figured out the word I kept up the guesses but have nothing between 782 and 999. Someone tell me what you had between those numbers, please. Obviously, I will wait until tomorrow.

Done! Didn't need a clue in the end (rarely happens!)

I gave up today and took the answer! 80 goes in and not a single green. Glad I did as I was never going to get it

Me too after reading that you had given up. 73 guesses - no greens.

I had tried what I consider to be a related word in my guesses. It was a high cold but not green. I would have been flailing around for 200+ guesses and reading here for hints. Happy I gave up.

Omfg. That took an insane number of guesses.

I had so many green words that all connected perfectly. Was no fucking use. The word now makes sense connected to all my greens but none of those greens are words I’d have used if I’d been making the list!

Choux, I was the same with a ‘high-ish cold’ that took me down a wrong path. Looking at the list of close words now, I would never have got there!

My second green was 991 😂

I solved Semantle #70 in 148 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 2.41. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #35. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 51.30 (991/1000). semantle.novalis.org/

I liked that one. It seemed logical to me once I found the path 130 or so guesses in.

176 gueses and only 4, totally unhelpful, mid range greens so far.

My second green was 991 😂

My second green was also 919 and I fannied about for ages getting nowhere as it's not related and eventually gave up after 350 guesses!

Sorry! I can't even get numbers right, let alone words...

919 would have thrown me, I spent ten minutes thinking "what is like a 991 but not a 991" and trying not to snigger 🤭

No idea how I got there, the green and other high words I had seemed completely random.
