I'd never heard of this game until I clicked on the thread out of curiosity.
Yesterday I played but it took me a while to understand how it works.
Second go today, got the word in 41 guesses.
Beginners luck?!

I solved Semantle #69 in 81 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 12.07. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #3. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 20.20. semantle.novalis.org/

I would’ve got that sooner, on guess 39, but I now realise I made a typo in the word and it was accepted so I thought I’d already used it.

That one took a while to get on the right track.

That was a bit of luck! I only had two lowish greens before suddenly getting it!

@semantlename what does 981 make? That'll get you a higher green that will probably get you there.

I solved Semantle #69 in 156 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 2.30. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #106. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 13.40. semantle.novalis.org/

My first greens were 318 and 310 which led me completely down the wrong path until it occurred to me that 310 could be used in a different way.

You can use synonyms for this. Not necessarily one you would think of (or I wouldn't). I can pm you if you like but my next clue might contain a slight hint I wouldn't want to do here.
