Then you take (word) and knock the end off it. I’m not sure if that helps or not

I only had number 95 and many colds. Read this clue, couple of colds and then got it!

Lost. And so low i'm not sure if the clues are making any sense. All my high colds are word an ilk, but the highest green is much more measured.

I think also - without giving anything away - it's confusing when the solution can be both a noun and an adjective. One doesn't necessarily relate to the other green guesses.
