How often do you change your bedsheets?

I change my sheets every Sunday, but lately I've noticed that they still seem fresh when they're changed and maybe it's excessive.
What do you do? Would it be grim if I changed to once every two weeks?

Every Saturday. The poor dog has her bedding washed twice a week, though

MaryAndHerNet · 27/03/2022 15:12

I sleep in bath of warm febreeze with 5 drops of zoflora.
Can't believe some people are so grim as to sleep on fabric that soaks up all the sweat and dead skin.

You disgust me... 🤪

Amateur

I wear a hamzat suit at all times, spraying disinfectant in front of me as I move around.

Every week, might push to 2 weeks if I've been really busy. I follow TOMM for on a Tuesday Grin

Svara · 27/03/2022 15:13

Once a month at a minimum, often put pillowcases in with towels so they are washed at least fortnightly. If it's rainy and the sheets have been excessively walked on by cat feet then they are changed more often.

Notcontent · 27/03/2022 15:26

I sleep alone and wear PJs in bed so probably every two weeks but sometimes change the pillow cases more often. Sometimes I just do the sheet and pillow case and leave the duvet cover longer. I have bed linen sets that I can mix and match.

Zoom101 · 27/03/2022 15:26

I sleep on the floor but still wash the sheets every day because dust particles, you know?

AllThatFancyPaintsAsFair · 27/03/2022 15:27

@Anotherhealthcondition

How often do we have to have this asked on MN?
More frequently than some people change their sheets Grin

I'm not saying my life's non stop extent but I can't imagine getting to a stage where I was interested in someonIelse's laundry. Free yourself from drudgery GrinGrin

MrOllivander · 27/03/2022 15:29

Every 7-10 days ish. Change the pillow case and bottom sheet more often

Ah but how often do you wash your carpet ?
Seasidemumma77 · 27/03/2022 15:35

Bedsheets are so unhygienic. I use tarpaulin on the mattress, and bubble wrap instead of a duvet. I hose the bed down every morning, and spray with zoflora.

womaninthepinkdress · 27/03/2022 15:36

Every 3 months.

Silvergreen · 27/03/2022 15:36

You change sheets? How ridiculous. You don't change your mattress once a week!

TheOldLadyOfThreadneedleStreet · 27/03/2022 15:37

I’ve stopped sleeping to allow for the constant washing

PollyPutTheKettleOnKettleOn · 27/03/2022 16:09

@MaryAndHerNet that's a really good idea, I might try it thanks

thegreylady · 27/03/2022 16:14

Mine are changed every two weeks. The spare room bedding is changed whenever it has been slept in.

Nostrings457 · 27/03/2022 16:16

4-6 weekly. Don’t believe anyone that does says they do it weekly Grin

CormoranStrike · 27/03/2022 16:19

@PollyPutTheKettleOnKettleOn

Twice a day. Anything less is grim.

Kezzie200 · 27/03/2022 16:21

Less than two weeks.

My hubby does our washing and has a day off each week that rotates, so he changes it every second week and the day varies. We think its about right.

Why?! I mean sometimes mine is 10 days and sometimes 7 but I change the pillowcases and bottom sheet every 7 days without fail I just like clean bedding Grin and new relationship
LauraAshleyDuvetCover · 27/03/2022 16:26

There's only me in mine, and I often shower in the evening so I change them every other weekend, but swap the pillows over and change my pyjamas on the middle weekend.

If I was having sex in it, or had a sweaty DH I'd probably do it weekly. As it is, I hate ironing double sheets so happy to not do that every week!

Noglassjustthebottleandastraw · 27/03/2022 16:26

Generally I change my sheets one day a week. Although if dh and I have sex then I immediately change the sheets after. There is no way I could sleep on sex sheets 🤮

Fritilleries · 27/03/2022 16:28

@MintJulia

I don't have a partner so I sleep one side of the bed in week one and then sleep the other side of the bed in week 2. So every two weeks. Cut my washing by 50% Genius Grin
Is the one thing to lift my mood right now. Grin
Hangthetowels · 27/03/2022 16:40

Haha - weeks and weeks. Honestly. Should do it more often but keeping the animals and toddler alive is more of a priority

AlwaysLatte · 27/03/2022 16:50

Every week - the children's beds on a Monday and ours on a Wednesday. Guest beds as and when they're used.
