Please can someone let me know if I'm on the right theme?
Greens are 403,450, 503, 777, 858 and 958.

@pukkapine are any of the 990s or 980s useful at all (I have most of them)

Am I anything like on the right track please?

300 guesses still with 7 greens, highest 802. I've resorted to using mumsnet thread titles...

70 and still nowhere

It's a hard one today! 323 guesses, 30 greens, highest is 994 but I got that ages ago. Argh!

I solved Semantle #56 in 158 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 11.14. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #27. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 16.37. semantle.novalis.org/

I don't think so. Not directly. Afterwards you'd think maybe but not before. What other greens have you got?

I think this is leading you on the wrong track!!

I solved Semantle #56 in 82 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 12.71. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #6. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 25.67 (540/1000). semantle.novalis.org/

Got 820 and then changed my theme and finally got it!

You're also going down a track that I think could be misleading. If you were very nonchalant and chilled out about all these things, how might you acknowledge them?

Today's is weird how I got there. The theme I was following bears little resemblance to the final word?! When you finish and look at the list of words, it's utterly bewildering! I predict lots of people getting a close one and still plugging away for ages

That’s what I did, definitely. I could sort of see the second theme, especially after I also got 977, but a lot of the more on the nose words I could think of that related to that one were cold The final word is a lot more subtle.

Staggering in. That was endless. Every single synonym I could think off - stuck at 997. Thanks to @pukkapine for that hint. It does all seem to be elements of one theme to me though.
