Semantle thread 3 is almost full and we don't seem to be running out of steam, so here's a nice new shiny thread for those, like me, who are mad enough to start the new game at Midnight.

The game of Semantle can be found by folowing this link. It's a word game like Wordle in that you need to find the secret word of the day, but it works by semantics. So you input a word and it will tell you how close you are. You have infinite guesses.

For example, one of the secret words was 'costly' with expensive, cumbersome and burdensome being the three closest words.

If you want to see how we've been getting on up to now our previous thread is here. We tend to use the threads to rant about how we're getting nowhere, celebrate our successes and laugh about the previous day's top 1000 but please, no spoilers. Subtle hints only here; use DMs for more obvious clues.

926 is the most useful of those I think. If you make 926 into a noun, what would you have to do in order to get that thing all in one place? You would blah blah them.

I solved Semantle #48 in 78 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 3.50. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #13. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 20.01. semantle.novalis.org/

My first guess had a similarity of 26.23. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #2. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 7.47. semantle.novalis.org/

For once it made sense to me!

Is it a word more usually used in America @Took?

I almost always go the wrong way with meanings etc
