In Wales they used a pully system (my nans neighbours garden was just as steep) but this looks like they took a strimmer to it

I’m near Glasgow.I’ve just forwarded this to my other half, we are looking for a renovation project, I just wonder how the hell you would get rid of that decor??. We did one last year round the corner from this one. It’s a very popular area, cheaper housing but really convenient for the city centre etc.
