Good morning all! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just having my first cup of tea, in silence, just how I like it! I'm about to get up and put a wash load on. & I can hear dd2 moving about upstairs so she'll be down soon.

Today's plan's not very exciting. I want to clean either up, or down, stairs and do the other one tomorrow. It's been a bit of a hectic week so it all needs doing. We'll all chip in so it doesn't take ages.

And we need a walk to asda for a small top-up shop, so we'll do that this afternoon.

Other than that; dd2 has homework to do & I'd like an hour or two with my crochet dinosaur. I expect dd1 will continue watching the live stream of one of the Twitchers she subscribes to 🙄

Dd1's cooking something with chicken and noodles later on 😋 & I'll enjoy a glass of wine with it.

Woken up at half 6 this morning by DD gleefully shouting “mummy! Daddy! Come and look at my poo!” (Thankfully it was in the toilet!) Gave her a bath as she was too tired for it last night and took her to dancing then dropped her off at my mum’s where she’s going to have her lunch and hang out for a few hours.

DH and I have done a bit of cleaning round the house, I hung the washing up and now DH is making Mexican bean soup for lunch while I lounge on the sofa with the cat. We’re taking turns to request songs off Alexa so it’s an interesting mishmash of music!

DD is due to get dropped off around 3 and will probably be shattered so might snuggle up with a film. Tonight DH wants to game online with his friend so I’ll probably have a bath and catch up on pottery throw down. I’ve gone vegan for Lent so have got myself a tub of Ben and Jerry’s vegan ice cream for a treat

It’s my oldest 11th birthday today so we’ve just had a McDonalds delivered for lunch. He’s played football this morning and both the boys are going to watch football with their dad this afternoon. DP is currently dropping his kids back after borrowing them for our family party last night and when he gets back I imagine we will take a long walk with the dog ending at a pub!

I love these threads. So far today I’ve made beds and got the washing on. The boys had football training - h took them. It’s cold, wet and gloomy here. Sausage sandwiches for lunch. Chicken fajitas for tea. Boys have already changed into pjs from muddy kits so just a chilled afternoon on the sofa. Eldest is playing fifa and youngest watching stuff on YouTube with me in the middle faffing on my phone - corner sofa. H is off to look at a job - basement. The potential client is clueless but have been passed his details as he is honest and explains the reasoning behind costs - there words from from their SE.

Dh is doing a bit of DIY in the garden. Fixing a fence.

So far managed to deal with my nails, the washing and the dog. All other cleaning/ decision making remains undone. Could do better, tbh.

I woke up this morning with two extra teenagers in the house and my youngest had slept at her friends house who lives a few doors down. Our food shop was delivered this morning then I went to the hairdressers to have my highlights done and was back home for 12.30pm. Dh then went to work and I got bored so cleaned downstairs. All extra teenagers have now gone home and the 7 year old is back and brought her friend with her so they’re upstairs playing.

Eldest teen has just left to stay at my sisters house for the night and I’m sat on the sofa faffing on mn.

Dh should be home around 6pm so we’ll make dinner, put the youngest in bed around 8 then dh is going out tonight so I will relax on the sofa with wine and watch a film with 14yo dd.

Im bored now though and considering pouring myself a glass of wine…

I went to Lidl and impulse purchased a bag of whole frozen sardines (Espanol week, y'know?)

Don't know wtf I'm going to do with 10 whole frozen sardines.

My local area had its children's cross country ski race today, 10 year old DD won gold for her age class (tbf, it was going to be either gold or silver anyway, there were only two girls in her age class ) and 4 year old DS participated for the first time, took an age and struggled but kept going even though everyone else had already finished racing so I am very proud, and got bronze because there were only 3 boys his age.
Very nice to spend a few hours outside, not thinking about the news or anything like that.

Soon we'll have hotwings for dinner, DS will go to bed, DD will watch her favourite Saturday night tv programme that I cannot see the appeal of, and me and OH will wait until we can go to sleep, knackered and I'm hungover to boot.

A very good friend face timed me late last night and we ended up chatting until about 4am!! Drunk obviously. Im sooo hungover. Not moved off couch and had to pay dd to make me a coffee.

All chores are done. DC chilling and happy. Dinner about 6. What to do.. is it too early to open the wine? Eldest DD bought me a bottle last week to cheer me up after naff news and I haven't had chance to open it yet..
