Good morning all! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just having my first cup of tea, in silence, just how I like it! I'm about to get up and put a wash load on. & I can hear dd2 moving about upstairs so she'll be down soon.

Today's plan's not very exciting. I want to clean either up, or down, stairs and do the other one tomorrow. It's been a bit of a hectic week so it all needs doing. We'll all chip in so it doesn't take ages.

And we need a walk to asda for a small top-up shop, so we'll do that this afternoon.

Other than that; dd2 has homework to do & I'd like an hour or two with my crochet dinosaur. I expect dd1 will continue watching the live stream of one of the Twitchers she subscribes to 🙄

Dd1's cooking something with chicken and noodles later on 😋 & I'll enjoy a glass of wine with it.

I love these threads. I'm so nosey and love hearing what other people are doing.
I have just walked ddog on the beach. Am going to clean the house this morning then head for a sea swim and to meet some friends for coffee afterwards. Eldest DC is back from uni for the weekend and is off out to watch the football with his mates. DH is taking two younger DC to swimming baths. Looking forward to a nice chilled weekend of not having much to do and no pressure to go anywhere.
I'll cook something really nice for dinner and potter down to the local deli for a few food treats.

DC2 has a cough so she's isolating pending a PCR (she has had about 6 / 7 coughs in the past year but touch wood has never had a positive PCR)

DP is at work so we are all in today.

Washing machine packed up yesterday, thankfully we were able to fix it (blocked hose) but I'm behind with the washing so today will be a washing / ironing / chores and homework day. Will make sure tomorrow is a bit more fun 😄

Kids having freezer surprise for dinner, I'll order the grown ups Thai for dinner. Yummy.

I have walked the dog and put a wash on. I need to sort out my nails, which are too long and are annoying me, and then fold a load of washing, clean the kitchen floor, hoover, tidy, decide if I really want shutters at the living room windows (worried it will make the room dark), try and decide which new kettle I want to buy, sign new mortgage paperwork and send it back, walk the dog (again) and sort out my horse.

At the moment though I am drinking coffee and watching the Paralympics.

About to do a quick bathroom and kitchen clean and then hoover downstairs. DH working this morning so I'll pop out for pasties and cakes for when he gets home. Had new flooring last week so need to put furniture etc back. Friends coming over for Chinese tonight.

Council houses literally built to same shape and some dude my partner knows also lives in ex council house. We can't afford double glazing , so have the entire house of said dudes double glazing in my back garden.
No man measured to see if would fit first.
It may be a big expensive tip run as we have to pay here to use the tip

My DH is out playing golf, we have plans later to go for a meal but for now I’m enjoying such a rare treat, a quiet morning, a McD’s sausage muffin and hash brown! It’s heaven 😀

I'm not entirely sure what our day holds just yet, but right now I'm upstairs changing the bedsheets and I can hear DH singing "I put a bib on you, because you're MINE!" à la Annie Lennox at DD

Just finishing coffee and toast and marmalade. Online shop on its way. Taking DM out to pick up some tables she has had painted and then back to hers to plan our trip to London at the end of the month.
DH and DS out to football for the afternoon. Tacos for tea. Yum

The answer is zero windows will fit unless we slice and dice to make fit.

Currently waiting outside dd2’s tap lesson . Then we need to go and pick up Dd1 from cheerleading . Then they are off to their dads . I have a couple of cleaning bits to do but mainly planning to watch Friday night lights with a glass of wine and some nice snacks later .

We've just got a puppy after our beautiful girl was pts last week, I'll be chasing her around .
Taking DD to work and going to B&M, then puppy patrol until DH comes home from work.

So far I've had coffee while catching up on the news, gutted the kitchen after teens rampage last night. Got a load out on the line & about to put the second load out, then I'll have another coffee before trying to raise DD from the dead to see if she wants to come on a swimsuit hunt with me (holiday in 6 weeks)!

Tonight I'm heading to a friends birthday party so need to pick up a card & Prosecco while I'm out.

Love these threads! Beautiful sunny day here in Cornwall but very cold in the shade. Started the day with some mega vivid dreams ( I’m on amitriptyline), including one where a butterfly landed on my shoulder & was talking to me in a rather attractive male “ BBC” voice! Got to Aldi early to avoid the crowds but it was already busy at 8.30 & a cheeky woman queue jumped! I have an Asda delivery tonight but needed veg etc as I don’t think you always get the freshest in a home delivery. Ended up driving around for a bit to find a cash point that provided £10 notes. DD13 is off to a friend’s birthday cinema trip, McDonald’s & sleepover & I didn’t want to give her £20 as she only needs to pay for the Maccie D’s. She’s stroppy, which is nothing new, although I think some of it is anxiety. Will attempt entry of her bedroom whilst she’s out to change the bedding & see if anything has died in there! Despair of the state of it! DH working til lunchtime. He might clean his bike this afternoon. There’s housework to do - I’m currently using a walking stick whilst I await scans, physio etc for an extremely painful leg so I’m restricted. DH will probably do the bathroom. I’ll clean the kitchen surfaces after posting this plus sweep the lounge & hall.Two of our bunnies are out & have had some kale. The other two will be let out around 2. Unfortunately they can’t all come out at once as they might fight. I get so much joy from watching them, having cuddles if they let me & generally enjoying their different personalities. Having Asda lamb steaks with garlic & rosemary, triple cooked chips & petitpois for tea. Might watch a film as there’s sod all on tv, although I don’t mind Saturday Night Takeaway.

Bit of a lie in after wine last night and then watching some of the cricket 😊 Washing out which makes me very happy! Off to the jewellers to get a new ring designed for our silver wedding, then DH is off out and I can chill with football and wine and takeaway with DD and DS2

We have to clear out the bathroom as it's being done on Monday and I want a chill day tomorrow.. so clearing out the airing cupboard (which is rammed full of crap), taking up the carpet, taking some tiles off the wall, and going to the tip.

Fun day.

May need a takeaway later.

There is something so nice about reading about everyone's days. I had a lovely slow start with tea, toast and mumsnet. Then I cleaned downstairs, showered and did a bit of a sort out of the dumping room on the top floor. For the rest of my day I need to prune a few shrubs outside, bin a couple of pots I hate, start some seelings and do some revision for a course I am doing.

I had a lovely lie in today, (after popping down at 6 to let the dogs out and give them a bit of kibble), crawled back under my duvet til 10. Bliss.

Had my first coffee while the hounds had a run round in the sunshine (!!!) and I'm on my second now, cosy on the sofa. DC still in bed but I can hear YouTube/TikTok so they're definitely awake!

I need to do a bit of food shopping today, haven't made a proper roast in ages so I need all the bits and bobs to make it lush. I'll write a list in a bit. Bacon sandwiches first.

That's about it for today. Maybe a good long walk with the dogs later this afternoon if it stays sunny, otherwise they'll have their regular walk and then hibernate.

Corn dogs for dinner tonight, something DD11 has been asking me to make for ages. I'll stick a load of Lidl potato pops in the air fryer to go with.

I just heard the words 'can we watch Encanto again' uttered from upstairs so it looks like we'll be not talking about Bruno for the tenth time later 😂

Apart from a fitness/ yoga app for myself , everything else is always up in the air in our house. I find it easier to NOT plan anymore

Eldest been on her paper round and maths class , now both kids have gone to the park.

Hubby at work for the day untill 10.

Made everyone bacon and eggs before he left.

Lovely to read what you’re all up to today!

I went to a friends for wine and Chinese last night, it’s been months since we got together so it was a really nice start to the weekend.

I was up at 7 with DD, we’ve been to see my mum for an hour and now back home. She is playing Roblox next to me while I have a coffee and mumsnet.

Trying to decide what to make for tea, had a Tesco delivery on Thursday but need to top up a few bits.

My son is off to watch the football with his grandad soon, so DD and I will probably do something involving make up and barbies.

They’re off to their dads at lunchtime tomorrow so I plan to do a couple of hours work, have a clean and then spend the afternoon on the sofa with Netflix and snacks!

Can we only post positive things?
