Picked up a bag of ‘limited edition original flavours’ Opal Fruits at Iceland today, and didn’t realise the significance until I got home:

Yes: it actually says Opal Fruits on the pack.
Yes: the original four flavours
Yes: hardly any greens (the best ones, boo)

Even the sweet wrappers are emblazoned with the words Opal Fruits like in the good old days.

I think you might be right - well, there are plenty of yellows in this pack and they are gooooood.

Starburst merged the yellow and the green ones to create a lemon & lime. I think the wrapper is still green for that one, but tastes different.

Ive been sooo pleased when I found them at home bargains they are the best best best

Opal fruits have been back for a while. DH and I are two bags when we had to isolate last summer. No more shitty purple ones and the lemon ones are back!!!

Obviously the bag is a giveaway as I bought it from a shop, not a cinema, which was the only place I ever saw bags of the things.

Well, thanks to @cultkid we know that it’s worth also trying Home Bargains, which I’m hoping means my local B&M will have them in if Iceland run out.

To whoever asked about the taste, hell yeah, these babies are fresh with the tang of citrus!

I picked some up from B&M earlier this week.

Oh yes. And Old English Spangles too ! And Callard and Bowser nougat in a box.

These have been out for months, much better than starburst IMHO
