How often are you alone?

I think I’m starting to go mad
I’m never ever alone
I neeeeeed some space, to not be touched, not be talked to, just not have anyone buzzing around me
But don’t know if I’m expecting too much

How often are you completely alone?

Virtually never and if I am truly alone in the house it's only fleeting. As in a rare occasion where I've got home a bit early and DH is still out collecting the children so it will be quiet for all of 5-10mins before it's shattered. The almost total lack of time to myself over the past 2-3 years has had a seriously negative impact on my mental health tbh Sad

Not anywhere near enough!!! I have 2 teenagers and dh, love them all with a passion but dear God, I just need some time alone, if I'm not working I'm around them (time in the car driving doesn't count!!!)

Have a five month old so never! Having DH working from home now too massively reduced my alone time - I worked from home well before the pandemic and would blissfully spend whole days alone working away quietly. I miss it. Can’t imagine I’ll get any alone time soon- will be at least 5 months away.

Now they are older I have lots of time alone..

I think this thread helps in that it makes me realise it's fairly normal to never get any time alone with young children. I seem to be surrounded by parents who get regular breaks and time to do their hobbies but our life just isn't like that atm.

I would say though this seems be more of a problem for women than men. Do we need time to ourselves more or are men just better making sure they get time?
