Decided to get into home decorations and really decorate the place for Easter.

Yes, my mum used to use a small tree branch when we were kids, I now use a tree I got from hobby craft

RoseMartha · 20/02/2022 21:05

I used to have one when I lived in a house. No room to store it now we are in a flat.

BarbaraofSeville · 20/02/2022 21:06

There's loads in the village I live in.

We have small conifers planted on all the greens and grassed areas and Christmas and Easter decorations appear at the appropriate time of year.

Well this is a new one on me..

EasterChickChick · 20/02/2022 21:31

I’ve name-changed for this.

We do! I cut branches from our contorted willow and then watch it come into leaf over the Easter week. I also decorate our lights above our dining table throughout the year depending on the season. I found some beautiful decorations at an Easter fair in Europe. Love planning for Easter!!

I usually put a tree up but by 'tree' I mean a few spring twigs and and little eggs, chicks etc...
might be to do with the fact that my parents are Eastern European.

I also have baskets of 'pisanki' which are painted and/or carved wooden eggs .

Sorry , cut and paste not working.
I'll keep trying.

GlamGiraffe · 20/02/2022 21:52

I put branches of willow, cherry blossom and forsythia( if i can get it) in a vase and hang painted eggs. Ive had one as long as i can remember 20 years at least). Its of german origin i think. Mine isnt like an actual bare stemmed Christmas tree although we call it the easter tree!

linmanuel · 20/02/2022 21:57

Classica · 20/02/2022 21:57

At this rate our Christmas tree will still be up.

MinglingFlamingo · 20/02/2022 22:02

Some years we have other years we don't. Depending on what else is happening etc

We repurpose a Christmas tree for it.

Goldenphoenix · 20/02/2022 22:02

We get fallen branches from the wood and decorate them in a vase. Have collected quite a lot of Easter decorations so trot those out every year. Have made some decs of felt. Kids love putting it up and I love it is so spring like.

ChristinePerfect · 20/02/2022 22:11

We have a white twiggy one with pastel eggs, from Hobbycraft

maddy68 · 20/02/2022 22:12

No. And I don't know anyone else that has one either?

Howeverdoyouneedme · 20/02/2022 22:17

I do look forward to the annual Easter Tree MN thread whereby many posters are almost disgusted at the very idea. I think this is the first year I’ve seen so much support for them.

I have one every year. I use a branch of blossom and hang wooden eggs on. I lived in Germany as a child and have always loved them.

Tigersonvaseline · 20/02/2022 22:19

Tk Max. Eatser decor heaven.

We just got twig's and painted them white!
I've got a good amount of eater Dec we put up.

SuperSocks · 20/02/2022 22:23

Yes, only for us it's called 'The Easter Twigs' rather than 'tree', because it's not like a big spruce you have at Christmas but large twigs of hawthorn or willow. We cut them on Easter Saturday and decorate with traditional German decs - all wooden or felt, bunnies and chicks, colourful eggs etc. They only last about a week but are very pretty.

RufustheFloralmissingreindeer · 20/02/2022 22:24

Yes i do…I’ll see if i can find a picture

WallaceinAnderland · 20/02/2022 22:28

Yes! Ours is about 4ft tall. Had it for years.

RufustheFloralmissingreindeer · 20/02/2022 22:29

I can’t find any

Mines basically a Christmas tree but with easter themed stuff on it 😀

I’m annoyed I can’t find a picture of it

We decorate it at Halloween as well 😀
