Inspired by another thread, just for fun/curiosity.

For example if I were to type the phrase "I'm asking mumsnetters how they sound when they speak" like I say it, it would be

"Eye-hm arsking muhms-net-ters how thay sownd when thay spee-k"

Bonus points for geographical guess though I did say in the other thread!

@ThirdElephant

'I'm asking (short a, like apple), Mumsnettuhs how they speak.'

If I'm not being careful, I might drop the h from how.

West Country?

I won’t both doing mine. It’s boringly the same as OP’s.

Nope, not Manchester. A trick one. Vancouver, Canada. A very generic Canadian accent.

You're not Saaaaf Laaadon like me are you?

Except you're using an r like a wanger (wanker). And 'h's.

So I think I'd be "Am askin mumsnetahs 'ow the speek wen the tohk"

LaWench · 18/02/2022 04:36

I have a strange North/ South hybrid accent which slips into more broad NW or Southern RP depending who I'm talking to. I will say both gl-ass and gl-arse.

AnaVanda · 18/02/2022 07:23

Aaah y'awright? Same as Paul O'Grady. Smile

MrsMoastyToasty · 18/02/2022 07:31

"Oize arskin' mumsnetturrrrs ow thay speak when tawk"
(You really need to roll the "r" in mumsnetter")

LadyNell · 18/02/2022 07:34
