Come and brag about your amazing child

Forget a humble brag. Sometimes they just do amazing things and you have to share it SOMEWHERE (not in a competitive way).

My 24 weeker who despite the odds and health issues she was either born with or developed initially has, so far, overcome the odds and made it home without oxygen or an NG feeding tube on her due date. She is amazing/a bloody miracle.

My 3 year old dd (asd and non verbal - no communicative or functional language) was playing with her stacking rings, and named all the colours as she pulled them off ... I may or may not have cried 😅

What a lovely thread!

DD who is 2 amazed me the other day by completing a 24 piece jigsaw by herself, we'd only done it once together before hand, it took her a good while but the concentration the whole time was amazing to watch.
Her speech and understanding is incredible also and I have been able to have full blown conversations with her for months now. She's generally such a lovely easy child to be around and makes my days Smile

Oh, @peboh, that's lovely!

My DD is in reception and has beautiful, neat cursive/joined up writing!

Ds1 is so funny and creative not to mention so patient with his younger siblings and is an amazing big brother.

Ds2 is just so loving and kind. He is always there with a cuddle and if anyone is sick or hurt, he is the first one there to give comfort.

Dd3 is only little still but she honestly is such a happy child. She brings joy wherever she goes.

Very lucky to have my children. Don't get me wrong they can be a handful but they have so many good traits about them.... Nothing to do with my parenting.

Oldest has been chosen to sing with their choir in a major musical annual fixture at the Festival Hall with a world-class choir, orchestra and soloists!

DS (10) has ADHD and finds schools difficult but we had a meeting with his teacher yesterday because DS proactively went to his teacher and told him he was finding everything a bit overwhelming right now - and this is a kid who often wouldn't ask for help when struggling even with a single piece of work, so we're very proud of him for doing that.

Aw, I love these.

Our gorgeous 30 month old is engine mad. He demands at least an hour a day of 'the wheels on the bus' - only it's tractors, and he has retroengineered it so that he supplies the thing you have to explain.

The... gears onna tractor (connect the engine to the wheels)

The internabustion onna tractor (makes the spark)

The piston onna tractor (starts to move and move)

I know f**k all about engines 😆

My 22 year old DS who had ASD and ADHD, and has had his fair share of trials ( school was really hard), has been offered two STEM PhDs.
